Does it accentuate the positive?
Your opinion of "positive" in the show may vary. Comedy about a married hit man who is in/entering middle age and losing his physical edge.
Does it eliminate the negative?

It has eliminated some negatives in the first couple episodes. Something to keep an eye on in the future, I suppose.

Here’s the reference, used as the opening credits for a truly great movie.

With the mystery (to me) unveiled, I don't feel bad about not getting it. I also am pleased to have created enjoyment for others.

Baby Billy Freeman is already one of the great all-time TV characters. Walton Goggins is some kind of genius.

He is great although it's hard not to see any character he does as a version of Boyd Crowder from Justified.

The first episode of the new sitcom he's in, The Unicorn, wasn't terrible...I'm giving it a couple more episodes before I decide if I'm sticking with it. Although I do think he's better when he does more outlandish characters.

Just listened to Rog interview the director on Men in Blazers. It sounds amazing. Apparently, Maradona had guys with cameras follow him everywhere off field during his career. He fired his publicist, the film crew never got paid, so they kept the tapes, which recently surfaced.

True, but after watching Fauda due to his recommendation/interview with the creator/lead actor, I'll watch anything Rog hypes.

Is there a better line delivery by a SNL actor, while breaking character and laughing, than “by the way, it’s official.....I can’t have children”?

Anyone else watch Ken Burns' Country Music? It took me awhile to finish, but it was really good. I think I like Burns best when it's about a topic I know nothing about.

I've made it through the first episode, but dang, 16 hours is a lot! And you did it in less than a month!

Red Sox sucking this year certainly helped. I'm way behind on other shows now. Not easy.

I've been watching it. I still have a couple more episodes on the dvr to watch, but I've really loved it. I think it is one of the best ones Burns has done.

I've been watching it online, mainly when making dinner or something (through 3 episodes so far). And I'm really enjoying it so far. Loved the story about Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs leaving Bill Monroe's band, and them not talking to each other for 25 years.

And also have to mention the real star of the show...Marty Stuart's hair!

Marty Stuart has (had?) a weekly tv show on RFD network. About as folksy and down home as is possible. My father watches that channel regularly.

That hair is something to behold. I saw it in person awhile back. Last spring I went and saw Chris Hillman and Roger McGuinn and band play the Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo album. Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives were their backup band, and Marty sang a few songs as well.

- Let me tell you another funny story, New Jack. Back in '74 the great Charlie Rich was named Country Musician of the Year. Then in '75, he had to hand the award off to the new one. And you know who that was? Mr. "Sunshine on My Goddamn Shoulders," John Denver.
- Really?
- Yeah. Can you believe it?
- Wow!
- Replaced by John Fuckin' Denver.
- Amazing.
- Yeah.
- Well, I'll be damned if Mr. Rich didn't pull out his cigarette lighter and light that award on fire in front of everyone. Do you get it?

Also, bonus points to Tom for stating his feelings to Shiv finally and then eating Logan’s chicken.

Did Shiv launch the Kendall strike against Logan with Kendall or was that all Kendall?

I think it was all Kendall...he spent all season being pushed around his only options were to either end his own life or do what he did.

I'm more curious about what it was that got Greg and Kendall to finally talk in order to get Greg to fess up to having the documents.

Well...that's why I asked if Shiv was in on it with Kendall. Because that's the conduit - she tells Kendall what she knows from Tom about the situation etc.

I've been watching The Good Place from the beginning and am a fan, but gotta say, four episodes in and this season is kind of bad.

I trust the show enough to stick with it and think that it will get better, but the last two episodes were not good at all.
