I mean, Baez is likely gonna bounce on, but Lindor, w/ that contract, is gonna be there awhile...

As far as I'm concerned, things are going according to plan. Javy goes to New York, does crappy, gets booed, hates it there, and comes back to the Cubs in the offseason.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

As a Giants' fan, I appreciate the Cubs loaning out Bryant for awhile.

I assumed he would sign with SF as a free agent. I'd be shocked if he came back to the Cubs. (And he shouldn't, given the way the team fucked him in 2015.)

"WORCESTER, Mass. — It’s Sunday morning at Polar Park, and WooSox manager Billy McMillon is sitting on top of the home dugout with hitting coach Rich Gedman."

Guy probably batted .200 for a career. Ok he had a three year stretch around the 86 WS team

Tigers became the first team in MLB history with two walkoff wins in a row over teams 30 games over .500. (Tampa Sunday and Milwaukee last night). A pretty nice 69th win last night.

The standard response here is the best coaches are the guys who knew what to do but didn't have the skill to fully implement (versus like Ted Williams), but Gedman was such a weird looking hitter I'll just agree.

It's good the Reds front office and ownership beat the caring out of me some time ago. Because the neglect and incompetence that has crippled what should have been an interesting season would have left me hot with rage years ago. Now, now I just shrug.

It was 3 1/2 weeks and ten game assignments. His return last Friday included an apology that got more and more boilerplate as it progressed.

Somewhat related: After four years with problems of varying sorts ranging from bad commentary to outright racism to an in-game fight between the announcers, Bally Sports/the Tigers need to completely start from scratch with a brand new announce team. Shell out some dollars to get a play-by-play guy with a pedigree and a smart, personable analyst who is up-to-date on statistical analysis and can combine insight on that and playing/traditional strategy. Previous affiliation with the team should not be a factor at all, as they can learn the history of the franchise.
