Yeah, some of these were contracts not being renewed, others got the ole pink slip today.

They dropped JVG and kept Mark Jackson. Trash decision.

Mutant League Hockey on Sega Genesis had a character called Smelios. They knew then.

Them hyping up this non-story of Lebron not retiring is very annoying.

Re: The WWLIS Thread
As rass said...the most slow news time of the year. The biggest thing I learned (but already kinda knew because of how she'd been sitting in her podcasts and on TV angles) was that Mina Kimes is pregnant.
You know what you need? A lyrical sucker punch to the face.
Re: The WWLIS Thread
Hence why they suck. Yeah, it's slow, but there are still tons of sports they could discuss rather than talking about the non-retirement of a guy who no one ever thought was actually thinking about retirement.

Doris Burke is supposedly getting promoted and there are reports that Doc Rivers will be getting hired (again). Only the first step is necessary.

Re: The WWLIS Thread
Sage Steele leaving ESPN. If you ranked everyone on two separate 1-10 scales, one in terms of hotness and the other awfulness of comments/opinions, and then added them together, she'd be elite tier.

Re: The WWLIS Thread
She doesn't really bust the hotness scale. Or the awfulness scale at least on screen. I'ma go with Alex Rodriguez but maybe that's too much credit to her
Re: The WWLIS Thread
Nooo ... really? If this is true, its another demerit for Sage Steele for being the reason I learned it.

Re: The WWLIS Thread
How is no one talking about Stephen A. versus Whitlock? I've cried real tears three different times watching clips of various parts (over and over).

My life is lighter now that I just ignore that entire genre of sports entertainment.
I get my fill of that level of discourse watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Same same.

That's why I ultimately didn't click "Submit" last night, but I'd watch First Take on a loop for a month if it meant no one in this world ever heard a word Whitlock said.

I guess it's too late now, but you could have actually just closed your eyes and gotten 100% enjoyment out of it because SAS is barely recognizable. I haven't heard him this measured and serious since he talked about big butts.
