So I have generally used the morning drive to listen to podcasts but this morning I just had it on the local ESPN network for Golic and Wingo. Two things:

1) Jason Fitz is awful. He makes a mistake in every read it seems like, and not in a clumsy Stugotz way. Just bad.

2) Trey Wingo talks over everyone. I have mentioned this before I think. But that show would be better if it was just Golic and Golic. And in fact I think Jr. is the best of the three.

Looks like ESPN is finally listening to me!

Golic and Wingo done. I wish Junior and Ogwumike were getting the morning slot as I really like both of them. Not sure what they're even trying with Keyshawn, Jay Williams and Mehenti in the main drive time slot.

And they are definitely pushing LeBatard out before his contract is up.

Oo, meant to bump this.

Watched the E:60 "Hero of Goodall Park" yesterday, just because I caught the trailer and it looked interesting. The hook to the story was crazy, but the production* and true crime style reenactments were a little much. Also, what was sort of supposed to be the crowning, healing event at the end felt a bit awkward not the least of which because ESPN's reporter

That's a shame because while I could take or leave Lebatard, I really enjoy the diversity of guests on his show. Mina, Katie, Izzy G, Sarah Spain. All makes for good TV.

Yeah, I watched that earlier this week. Could've been a lot shorter and I agree it was just a bit forced at the end.

Nice of the grandkid to do that, but the key players were not involved, including the son of the dude that drunk drove.

ANyone have a clue what's going on with the Le Batard show? I know Chris Cote was in the layoffs, but are they all taking a week off or what? No new podcast content and nothing on twitter it seems.

Just based on Katie Nolan's community, they essentially axed every producer in the company for this stuff.

Katie was told their pod was going to 2 days per week last week, then they immediately laid off her producer, her cohost, and the person that hired her.

Must be nice to have a business so successful that you're bulletproof to bad decisions.

I finally thought to check the Reddit. Looks like Friday was scheduled off because of the layoffs and yesterday was weather-related. If they are back today with Greg Cote it might be a rough start for the show.

Wow. Dan hired Chris Cote as his personal assistant with a raise and Chris will still be on the show.

And a decent portion of the audience apparently lit into the Bristol mothership offices over it as well. Maybe they will stop treating the show like it is a problem at some point. Probably not though.

ESPN has wavered on dropping the LeBatard Show in the last year or so.

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... -21-season

Gonzaga is good, but the Basketball Power Index thinks Villanova is the best team in college basketball.

The top rating in BPI translates to a 12% chance (through Monday's games) for Villanova to win it all in Indianapolis. Baylor, No. 2 in BPI, is right behind at 11%. Iowa, Virginia, Gonzaga and Texas Tech are the only other teams with a more than 5% chance to win the title.

Why should you care? Teams in the top four in preseason BPI have won the national championship in 10 of the past 12 complete seasons, with both UConn titles being the exceptions. (This includes seasons that were back-tested in the model's creation.)

Come ooonnnnnnn ...

So on Marty & Mcgee tomorrow morning there will be a segment that I helped with. The miner that went viral last year for coming to UK game straight form work (covered in muck) had a piece done about him and I was the company liaison. I'm not on camera, of course, but it was neat to be involved with something like that.
