NFL Week 6

I've completely lost control of this file, have no idea what I was doing last year in some calcs and the injury mods aren't working right either. Oh well.

This is more straightforward, measuring things that matter and ranking them. Bye teams aren't listed, adding them would add like a day at this point.

Colts are -9.5!

I am pretty sure that there has never been a 1-4 team favoured by two scores.

Like five years ago (maybe more) a winless Jags team beat a shitty Titans team and knocked a ton of people out of survivors. I'll check the spread on that one.

EDIT: NM, Titans were 4-4 at the time. Was 2013.

I'm hoping that the Gruden shitshow leaves the Raiders vulnerable to a beatdown by the Broncos. But, who knows? Maybe they'll rally 'round the flag and play their best game of the year.

How is that definitive evidence for an overturn? That was like a 6-minute review! Oh, everyone outside of Philly is watching Dodgers-Giants? I get it.

Does Hurts understand the rules? He keeps running out of bounds for no apparent reason.

This whole team has no situational awareness or field awareness. Earlier he slid in bounds right before the sideline and lost two yards, instead of just throwing it away. He constantly misses wide open receivers because he seems to only have one read. Last week Miles Sanders went out of bounds twice while the Eagles were trying to run out the clock. Everything is so much easier to stop though when every play is a pass. Sanders has one carry for one yard at halftime, and that's literally it for running backs.

I don't think that's what my predictor is thinking when it says one score game but I'll take it.

I guess I could put this in the Brushes thread, but I know Vita Vea’s mother.

I deliver Meals on Wheels once a week, and his mother is the caregiver for a disabled lady on the route. So, I have a little chat when I stop by. She is one large Tongan!

If the Jags lose this game it’s hard to see them winning a game before that Texans game in December.

That was a great play call at the end though. Bluffed the hail Mary.

Seemed to have turned it around before Mayfield fumbled and went down and started writhing in pain immediately afterwards.

the hail mary before halftime bailed them out a bit too and made it closer at that point than how the game had been playing out...

Trash.

They have beaten trash this year and are getting butchered by good teams. After tonight, they'll be in last.

Belichick should definitely retire after this season though he seems arrogant enough to be that guy who hangs around five seasons too long.

Still think one of the lamest things the league does is regularly shove owner celebrations down out throats (sometimes, in games like Dallas/NE it feels like after every drive) but they almost never show the despondent owner’s box when one of these hateable fuckers lose.

Amazing how his magic touch disappeared when Brady flew to Tampa.

I think they've looked pretty good. Thought they played well today. Same a probably 2-3 others just came up a bit short. Not out of it yet.

Let’s be honest: If I were a Dallas safety I would have atleast broken up, and probably picked off, that long TD pass.

Even if that were fluky QB drove them for a score and got the two with the game in the balance. I'm more worried about OL. Running game just has to dominate. They showed flashes. Defense made some plays and held them down enough to win. Asking for stops in 4th OT too much to ask. Special teams not up to standard? Now thats something you can take Belichick to task for.

I think Belichick should have retired 20 years ago.

Subjecting people to this Steelers/Seahawks OT has to violate the Geneva Convention somehow.

Amazing how Brady has looked a lot better now that his two most frequently-used targets are no longer a 33-year-old Julian Edelman and James White, backed up by guys like Phillip Dorsett, Mohamed Sanu, and Jakobi Meyers.

It just bothers me how much the national media has changed their tune and slobbers all over how amazing he's playing without mentioning the minor difference in the skill position talent around him.
