Several of UK's players are shilling for morgan and morgan. It's the end of the world.

He's from there, and I think he's NIL'ing a lot of athletes.

Yeah. I get it, but the last thing I need is more Morgan & Morgan. Let the record show I'm all for the NIL money. Just not from them!

May watch some UK snuggled up in a comfy blanket I was given (for my kids but I'm boss) when visiting Lexington last summer.

Use 2! They're small!

I probably won't make it past halftime.

I'm pretty damn excited to have college hoops back!

It's not normal to have a single opening day like this, is it? Did they change a rule or something?

I don't know but when I looked at the games on the slate it was crazy. Definitely seems new.

My wife and I are going to this season's first Boeheim family reunion. She has donated some modest sum to a specific part of the university a couple times, so we got this random invitation in the mail because we're big time? So, we will sit through some program while we eat dinner, then go to the game in the university suite.

Should be an entertaining year with the Boeheim boy tearing it up.

I am not too upset with the loss. Duke had the clear 3 best players on the floor and probably #5 as well. Too many silly turnovers and bad shots, but it's early in the season so hopefully some kinks can get worked out.

Tshiebwe got away with a few arms to the back that he won't get away with when he is the biggest guy on the court, which he definitely was not last night.

Maybe not the most important (although it could be), but it's the first ranked team they've beaten since then. Navy looked pretty damn good. Confident and aggressive on offense and when they got open looks, they hit them. That's the recipe to beat the packline. That said, UVA obviously still needs a lot of work.

Mixed bag from the two big transfers. Gardner was the physical beast we thought he'd be (18 and 10), but he was just awful on the defensive end. He kept getting blown by and he wasn't there for help D either. He'll get better (I hope).

Franklin from IU had a disastrous game. Missed nearly everything, inside and out, and managed to play 33 minutes as a big guard with 0 rebounds.

Started out at 29, but they <blanked> them up to 35.

As good a place as any for Athletic Department revenue/profit database. Amazing how much football pulls the weight for pretty much everyone.

And hey, Brian, CMU is #4 in profit! Makes those EMU chumps and their $3 loss look pretty bad. Not $3 million. $3.00. I hope the AD had to pay it out of his pocket.

That $55M "direct institutional support" is the bone of a lot of contention since it comes mostly from student fees tacked on to tuition. But at least we got the dough to extend McElwain's contract and bump him up to close to $1M a year after this season which is probably what it's gonna take to keep him for another five years.
