Thought this would be about Dr. Chuck himself, but it's 1000x worse.

Just the absolute sheer fucking senselessness of it. It's almost too much to bear from this distance, I can't even imagine it happening to your own flesh and blood.

This. Tragic when an innocent bystander is a victim and the person responsible walks away. It doesn't do anything to save Anna, but I hope Tennessee has a felony murder statute, because this deserves it. Also feel bad for the officer, that has to be gutting for him or her.

That's just unbelievably tragic and sad. That's every parent's worst nightmare, and I'm heartbroken, especially after reading the article.

Reading the article just pissed me off. Such a senseless and avoidable accident. That is all I will say.

I should've taken Shirley's advice and not read it. At what cost? Just why? Sorry for your loss, Dr. Chuck.
How do you all get your death notices since I left?

I didn't take my own advice. Such a crushing story. I just can't imagine losing a child.

And when are we going to do something about these sorts of high-speed chases? I get that we don't to make it too easy for criminals to evade police, but how often is a high-speed chase really worth the risk to the community? I'd argue almost never. Get them next time. Maybe we can start using drones to just follow cars without needing to chase them in a police car.

If you're chasing Jack The Ripper or a serial killer, maybe. If you're chasing some dude for smoking some weed, just what the fuck. The cops aren't blameless in this shit either.

I had the same thought. One article said something about a 911 call that the guy was on his way to hurt someone. Police would get torched if they just stopped chasing a guy driving 100 mph when they got a call saying he was on his way to kill someone and he did. I think driving 100mph before the cops chased him is creating enough of a danger that you have to stop him. Imagine if it got out that the police have a rule they can't continue to chase if you hit 100? It'd encourage people to drive that fast.

Good thing the police have access to the microchip tracker implanted in us with the COVID vaccine.

I know the article said "hurt someone", but the follow-up question to the person who contacted the police could have been, "did he say whom?"

You know that guy didn't have the vaccine. Especially in Tennessee.
