US players on the roster of a team in 6 of the 8 groups.

That's kind of insane.

Oh, wait.

There's an American in every group!

I totally forgot about Timmy Chandler at Frankfurt. And, TBH, I'm not sure I've even heard of the guy at Club Brugge (Owen Otasowie).

He got called up for Wales - Panama window and got in during garbage time against the Welsh.

I was only able to partly watch part of the game, as it was during work. Still, these ratings articles always kill me. Seriously, only 2 Chelsea players rated as high as a 6? If Chilwell's not offside and/or James's shot goes in instead of off the post, does that magically make everyone better?

one-eighth of the managers in yesterday's games were sacked this morning. Maybe it's a bad idea to qualify for Champions League? Just a suggestion.

Spurs won deservedly - Richarlison's 2nd goal is a thing of beauty.

BUT - we watched the 10 minutes of extra time in the Athletico-Porto game, and all I can say is that I am speechless.

[+] spoiler
0-0 at the end of regulation. 9 minutes extra time. Madrid scores 3 minutes in. 3 minutes later, a Madrid defender handles in the box. Porto penalty that was badly taken, but trickled in off the keeper's hand. 98th minute Porto on a near-break, they fucked it up Madrid comes back and eventually scores in the 100th minute. Crazy thing is that the stadium was packed. But between the time Porto scored and then Madrid won it, I'd say 1/4 of the fans in the lower level had left.

Europa League info coming in hot. Man U just got jobbed on a penalty in the box. Went to VAR and they still fucked it up. 1-0 La Real.

I remember the glory days when I used to joke "there are games on Thursdays?" Now I'm thrilled to see Arsenal playing crap teams on Thursdays... And Matt Turner with his Arsenal debut, only conceding on a PK. He made a horrendous blunder in the 7th minute, passing straight to the opposing team just outsider the box. Very lucky to have a defender clear the shot off the line. Zurich tried to beat Turner with a shot just inside the half line. Turner saved it easily at chest height, but makes me wonder if he is susceptible to being caught out, as Everton tried the same thing in the friendly.

There is something wrong with Conte at Spurs.

One sub when the team's midfield is playing like Toronto FC's?

A deserved loss.

That should never have been disallowed.

No one can quite explain the ruling - if it came off a defender (which it did) then it can't be offside.

I've heard it was Kane, I've heard it was Emerson, I've heard about it coming off the defender, and then that if it's a deflection that is moot... Anyway it shouldn't take similar 5 minutes to review a goal.
