And I’m at fergies for the second time this evening. Or first time today
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.
Re: The OFFICIAL business travel whining thread
Last night I was mostly posting for my own amusement but the original pre-trip post was an attempt for fish for suggestions that I could have used prior to midnight on the final night of my trip!
I skipped out on the last lunch of the official convention this afternoon and got a roast pork sandwich at DiNic’s. Almost as good a choice as when a coworker and I snuck out of the bar just before 12:30 last night and walked back to the hotel. Some of my coworkers and customers ended up chasing the night until at least 3AM.

At my age, unless there's a supernova happening that I can see with my telescope there's no reason to chase the night until 3 am on a school night.

Oh man, that roast pork sandwich is amazing! IIRC, it won the best sandwich in America on Food Network's show with Adam Richman. My daughter got a meatball sandwich at DiNic's that was really damned good, too.rass wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 12:53 pm Last night I was mostly posting for my own amusement but the original pre-trip post was an attempt for fish for suggestions that I could have used prior to midnight on the final night of my trip!

Yup that settles it. I’ll be updating the lunch thread tomorrow with an awesome sandwich from somewhere.

I have a miserable take with regards to Dinics. It’s very good but … sharp provolone is too sharp. It overwhelms the sandwich.

I’ll allow it. I love sharp provolone, but smoked would be better. Still a fantastic sandwich. Bread is perfect, garlicky broccoli rabe… I love broccoli rabe.

Semi-related, although not in a business travel kind of way...
