I dunno man. Train track on the left (you can see them in the upper corner). It should be on the same side of SO Ave but the other side of the tracks.

I decided not to call out of fear Tito's would have to move and would have their business halved by people who only go there because Miti Miti is another 300 steps away.

Traveling tonight for a recruiting event tomorrow. A lot of the students are in the same hotel and it is a frat party apparently. I'm just trying to watch ball and fall asleep fellas!
But I'm not pissing in their cheerios, I remember it.

One of the little girls at the kids school said that a while back. Killed me. Apparently it's not new. Piss in Cheerios that is.

Have my first post-COVID business trip coming up in a couple of weeks. Austin. Kinda looking forward to it, actually.

Re: The OFFICIAL business travel whining thread
I truly appreciated getting to travel again, but I came down with a horrible cold and it’s taking me 2 weeks to get over it! I’m convinced my immune system is weak due to almost 3 years of avoiding people. Plus, flying always fucks up my sinuses. On the descent, there is often a high pitch whistling sound emitted from my forehead that freaks out other passengers. Fun party trick, but extremely painful.

It's like the air pressure goes from one side to the other through my sinuses, but they constrict, and the air can't pass through. Best I can describe it. Before I discovered Tylenol Sinus and a neti pot, I used to get bad sinus infections several times a year.

Re: The OFFICIAL business travel whining thread
I was lucky I had Tylenol sinus in my computer bag. Opened up the sinuses in minutes. From now on, I take one towards the end of a flight as a rule. The weird thing is my first sign edibles are kicking in is I feel my sinuses open up. I couldn't find anything corelating weed to sinuses, but maybe 20-30 minutes after eating, sinuses open up and 10-15 minutes after that the high kicks in.

I had a deviated septum. Got REALLY bad sinus infections for many years and finally went in and got the septum operated on. Since then, I still have allergy issues, but not week long/feel like I'm gonna die sinus infections. That shit was the worst. The Sybian wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 8:36 amIt's like the air pressure goes from one side to the other through my sinuses, but they constrict, and the air can't pass through. Re: The OFFICIAL business travel whining thread
Been to a specialist who suggested surgery. When he ran the scope up my nose, it triggered my vasovagal reaction (the seizure like passing out episodes I discussed before). Nurses were quick as fuck to stop it, and she laughed and said I was the third person that day, and joked that it's like pressing a button for vasovagal reactions. Had a friend describe the surgery and recovery, like pulling out and replacing gauze and I balked at the surgery. I hear they can do it by inflating balloons in your sinuses which sounds much better, but I'm still freaked out by the surgery. I think eating edibles every day is a better option.Nonlinear FC wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 8:51 amI had a deviated septum. Re: The OFFICIAL business travel whining thread
My surgery was a pretty long time ago, but it was really worth it (for me.) I was literally having to take at least a full week of sick time off, usually more. And back then, it wasn't going to get me fired, but it was a real problem to be a press secretary that could (potentially) be out sick during certain times of the year/election cycle. Kind of had to be done.

Re: The OFFICIAL business travel whining thread
Your doctor hasn't suggested getting sinus surgery? I used to get infections all the time, got the surgery and after a sort of shitty weekend (you get your nose overstuffed with gauze) I'm 800 times better. The Sybian wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 8:36 am

I haven't had an infection since using a neti pot. A couple times a green ball of infection came out with the water, but that was before I felt the infection.Rush2112 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 11:28 amYour doctor hasn't suggested getting sinus surgery? Re: The OFFICIAL business travel whining thread
I posted this in the past, but I had regular sinus headaches until I had surgery last March to free up the nasal passages. Getting the surgery was a great decision for me.
Sybian, surgery might really help your vasovaginal issues!

View from my room. It’s ok I guess.
That’s Estadio Nacional and the World Cup is on display there today and tomorrow (I assume in that white tent there).

Don’t expect timely service at the McDonalds Las Sabanas at 10:15 in the evening.
ETA: I saw another one on my run this morning, so since there are (at least) two of them I want to specify I mean the one directly across the street from Estadio Nacional, as I can’t with good conscience disparage the one at the other end of Parque Las Sabanas.

not a whine necessarily, but was floored that Southwest was over 3x the price for the same trip as Delta
