Make sure they don't accidentally attack Roy.

Yeah those unis are legit.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Those uniforms are a plea to get more gay fans.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
And yeah. Tua looks like he suffered a nerve injury. His fingers were all sorta cramped.

Wonder how Tua will pass the concussion protocol this week.
Nice to hear Al Michaels being the good company man, talking about the back "injury".

Yeah, something's not right. It looked like he couldn't make a fist or put his fingers out straight. Looked like a 40-year-old OL's gnarly fingers.
How do you all get your death notices since I left?

And how hard it was for poor Mike Brown to finally give into the almighty dollar and pimp out the stadium.DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 8:25 pm Wonder how Tua will pass the concussion protocol this week.

How was it the Dolphins maneuvered Tua around the NFL's concussion protocol?

Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
By pretending he didn’t have a concussion.
Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
He crumpled like an accordion though.
(and that's why they should've gone for it on 4th down).

Yeah I wanted to make sure it was clear I did too. Was worried the inflection in my statement was off.

And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.
Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
The guy needs to let go of the football. You can count on a training staff to protect you or you can throw the fucking ball
Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
Oh yeah, Goodell will do a thorough investigation. I'm sure the right people will be held accountable.

Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
I mean, last Sunday Mac Jones got absolutely trucked almost a full second after he released the ball on the Pats' final offensive play vs the Ravens. The refs didn't even bother with a late hit, or a helmet to helmet flag.

Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
Cause he can't see downfield? You're the qb. Find somebody or throw it away. It's your job. Or you get fucked up. Don't blame me cause he thinks slow

Stop what. It's football. You release the ball or you get hit.

Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
Ok. You guys are right. Holding the ball for five seconds had nothing to do with him getting hurt.
Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
Okay so he got rid of the ball last week then got shoved down then got up for 2 seconds and proceeded to turn into a rag doll. That his fault too?

Can't believe I have to say this but sometimes quarterbacks get sacked.

Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
What are we disagreeing about again? Dolphins shouldnt have let him play and tua should have released the ball before the suplex. Not much to dispute there
Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
Okay now which one of those two things are "controversial" and which one is just "a thing that always happens?"

Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
Maybe I'm missing something...But what is your point? The point (as I see it) is the fact Tua should not have even been playing this week. That there is a concussion protocol that was easily sidestepped so that "an independent third party cleared him to return to the field."

Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
He just had a concussion (or at least rocked his head hard enough to make him go to a knee so he can focus on the next play to call if you want to be a Dolphins' team doctor) 4 days ago not sure he's processing things quickly, that said, sometimes lines protect long enough for a play to develop downfield, but no one comes open and QBs get hit. That hit wasn't super clean but it wasn't some horrific hit either.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
The deal for clubs is to rely on the docs answer. Nothing else you should do besides ensuring their independence from the club. And none of that has anything to do with the known hazards of a QB holding the ball.
Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
Your angle resonates a bit more clearly now.

Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
He wasn't blindsided because he was holding the ball. He was flipped over onto his back/head. That play 98% of the time the QB pops up. He had a concussion 4 days ago. A 2nd concussion (or even hitting his damn head) can f his brain forever. Had nothing to do with him "holding the ball" it had to do with him
1. re-entering the game Sunday
2. playing this game 4 days later.

Also, (and to Rex's point) this could be:
Lamar Jackson
Joe Burrow
Josh Allen
(insert other hot young QB here)
...And their teams would've done the same thing.

Re: NFL Week 4 (2022) - white/stripes
And look, I'm a guy who watched literally every game of Ben's career so I know all about that holding the ball too long thing, but many times that turned into touchdowns, wins, and championships. Was he a big, dumb, rapey boob who took a fuckton of unnecessary hits? Absolutely. But he never did any of that shit because he was trying to lose.
