Threw my back out lifting a box yesterday. Now I probably can't golf on Sunday. This is fun!

Poutine is more of a Franco-Canadian dish.

Ha. Those babies get a lot heavier. One of my best memories carrying a baby up a mountain (stone). You won't get to switch arms so a better workout.

So got the old sack trick last Monday. The doctor was late while I was sitting in the hospital bed and they'd given me some pre-sedative so I fell asleep in a sort of sitting up in a position that the angle was sort of uncomfortable (I have a weird lower back hip that I feel like one muscle is on the wrong side of my hip bone and it kills if I stand for a long time or lay down for a long time.) The doctor finally shows up like 2 hours late, I wake up from the nap and then am given the better stuff to make sure I don't notice a guy cutting my balls. I wake up in recovery 30-45 minutes later and go home. In bed for the next 24 or so hours. Balls aren't great but the bigger pain in my lower back. Taking pain meds and icing my balls as well as icing and laying on a heating pad. 2nd day I try to get up and excruciating pain in my left hip. Like can't stand straight and up and down movements kill. My son has some crazy allergic reaction and rides an ambulance to the hospital and get meds that require 6 hours of observation. Daughter needs to be picked up. So I will myself out of bed and all of a sudden I have to take a huge shit (been bedbound and eating good stuff cause I'm fucking sterile soon.) Have to balance myself on my dresser that's 2 ft from my bed because of the pain, but have to get my kid AND TAKE A HUGE SHIT. hunchback it to the bathroom in agony and struggle to get my boxers down as the bear starts peaking out of the cave with vengeance. Am still at a 3/4 position and don't want to have to clean up or explain shit all over the bathroom so had to force myself from 3/4 to sitting on the bowl in one horrible painful movement that was accompanied by a scream of pain then Pollacked the bowl and sat for a minute sweating and catching my breath. Amazingly no more crazy back pain and seemed to have solved the underlying problem of hip/lower back pain....and then went and picked up my daughter. Son is fine BTW, going to an allergist on Thursday.

Best poop story since Zaz.

I too have had lower back pain alleviated by a decent shit. It made me think that there was something wrong with my plumbing and I got an gastro check and colonoscopy prior to retirement.

Luckily nothing was found, but I'm still sure it's something on that level that causes back pain for me.

But aren't those days after the vasectomy just delightful when you want to just move around?

39.

And I used to work on airplanes. My back is always hurting in some fashion.

I've done it all. Physical therapy, dry needling, cupping, electro-whatever stimulation, deep tissue massage, sports massage, that one massage where a small Asian woman turns you into a pretzel, going to see Dr. Beau (look him up on YouTube), had 3 MRIs, and whatever else.

The only thing I could think of is that it was internal, but it wasn't that. And since my medical care is free, why not check?

Bum bum is fine. Just had like 36 hours without shitting stored up.

My hip/muscle thing is from growing way to fast as a teen. My lower back has been f'd for a long time and this hip/muscle thing from a desk job with bad posture most likely. Did some PT and other things but they've never really solved it. It would flare up and be similar to my pain earlier this week but I'd take a day or two of from work and it be bearable after I sort of worked through it. I think the heat/ice and pain killers plus the quick forcing through the pain is what got it release/nice back whatever.
