An offseason of introspective reflection and thoughtful self-improvement coming for Brooks, no doubt.

Which means he'll either double-down and sign with the Nets or he'll do the Oprah apology tour.

"Under any circumstances"

That's not mincing any words. The ownership definitely wanted to get the point across to fuck off in the strongest non-swearing terms possible.

he just fucking sucks. Like, not a team player, absolute "look at me louie" sucks.

Did you know he played 2200 minutes this year, Harden played 2135, and Brooks took 150 more shots than James Harden? BROOKS. Did you know only one player in the league took as high a volume of shots as he did and shot a worse percentage (Fred Van Vleet)? And THEN brooks finally, after ducking all media interviews AFTER his "poke the bear" shit with Lebron did media after Grizzlies were eliminated and said he is tired of being a 3 and D guy and wants to be featured MORE in the offense? A guy who, again, took more fucking shots than James Harden. Who isn't a "3 and D" guy because...he fucking sucks at the "3" part?

I. HATE. HIM. SO. MUCH.

Have for years. FUCK HIM. So glad ownership made it clear.

I give them extra points for doing it in the exit interview instead of going through his agent.

GM Bob Myers is leaving the Warriors. The window is probably officially closed.

Expect one of the owner Lacob’s two sons to get the job. I’m sure it will be based on a completely objective assessment of his qualifications.

Mike Dunleavy Jr.'s name has been thrown around recently, as he performed some GM functions the last few months.

But, yeah, Kirk Lacob is the son that gets mentioned a little more loudly and frequently.

Did something new happen?

I only ask because the latest I remember was the post with him holding a gun. Which, as bad as it looks and as poor of a decision as it was for a public person to make, it isn't actually against any law. The threatening and assault are much worse to me, and I get that there has to be some accountability but the timing seems off. I guess it's just the culmination of everything that warrants a suspension now.

Announcement that they have decided on a new punishment for him and that they are waiting until after the finals to announce it because the league does not want it to take away from said finals.

It did indeed. Whatever that was, half a season may be too short a guess.

I assume if the league is going to suspend him he actually did something illegal and this isn't just NBA Dress Code II.

I have since seen further reporting that the Suns and Paul will be exploring options - trade/waive, whatever - but it seems he is out in Phoenix.

Suns pretty much have to work out a trade, they can't really use the space his salary coming off the books would open up due to being over the tax.

Someone explain to be like I’m a 7-year-old how Jokic lasted to the second round of the draft.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Zach Edey's headed back to Purdue, despite being the player of the year?

What is with your love of Zach Edey? Besides being 7'4", he is not an NBA caliber player. He is slow footed, can't shoot much outside of 10 feet. He is a poor defender.

There should be conditions the other way, such as "enter the dunk contest and you only have to sit out the first half of a Pacers game"

Not to be callous about this whole thing (I hope he gets whatever help he needs), but how much money will this cost Morant over the course of his career?

I did, too.

Of course, you could argue that Dunleavy is getting a raw deal by getting the job now. He's taking the reins with the changes to the salary cap and luxury tax, an exceptionally high payroll (Curry, Klay, Poole, and Wiggins combine for about $147.5 million next year), Draymond expected to opt out (likely tanking their defensive efforts), an estimated luxury tax bill of $230 million (per Spotrac), and the "second timeline" looking like a failure with a likely teardown and corresponding fall in the standings.

I mean, if you wanted to make the case that he's being set up as the fall guy and sparing the Lacob boys from looking bad, this is a pretty ideal scenario.

The Grizz will need all the help they can get against the Pacers. That goes for the entire NBA. Pacers are going to finally win it all!
