While I don't disagree with your overall point... It's pretty hard to find 2 issues that would produce more fervor among young, first time voters than pot and abortion rights.

Missouri just legalized recreational marijuana and will very likely have a constitutional amendment on the ballot in November that would reverse the statewide abortion ban.

Yeah, outside of St. Louis, Kansas City, and Columbia, Missouri is as red and crazy as Alabama. Now that her parents have passed on, I told my wife I’m never visiting her relatives there again.

while Missouri has shifted rightwards, that's not the point I'm making. I'm saying that "liberal" initiatives like abortion access and marijuana legalization are things that aren't as party line as people seem to think.

Biden's never done or said much of anything that would suggest his heart isn't in the right place.
