FC Swamp - the Reboot

Now that I've got the full game, I've been turning it over in my mind how to make this work the best. I can create unlimited players OR I can take a team and change names to represent the swamp. So I will put it up to a poll. Create from Scratch (which would actually likely be still taking over an existing team but editing all the character) or Take over a team and just assign nicknames to existing players?
I'd want to take over a team in a lower division and I generally default to England. So a Championship or League One would give more narrative highlights regarding potential promotion et cetera. But maybe we just want to take over a team in a top flight league and play in all the cool competitions. So the Poll has options. I will defer to the will of the swamp.
A couple of non-negotiables: NLFC will be the goalkeeper, and Sabo will still be a defensive midfielder who wrecks shop. But other than that, people can tell me what type of player they'd like to be. I can make it work with new characters or existing so we just need to decide on a starting point.
Once we've decided on a starting path people can ask for specific positions or roles.

Another thing...I'm taking cues from carwash, but i probably won't post videos of everything. Do more of a weekly recap with highlights.
And I forgot that I'd like for Ryan and Carwash to have big roles because of their diligence in creating and maintaining swamp games through the years. But now they can pick their positions as they see fit.
Chedda and Pruitt will not be featured unless there's a muppet crossover event.

I was going to say I don't need a high-profile role, but then Steve stole mine. You can put me at LB then.
Basically clone Philip Lahm, who is the closest to me in size/appearance of any high-level pro athlete in my lifetime.

If you decide to pick a mid-table team, I think Brentford or Brighton would be good choices (although, BHA might not be a mid-table team these days.)

wouldn't blackpool with renamed/created players be the best and obvious answer here?

Highly encourage you to pick a league without complicated roster rules...i.e. MLS.

Nice!
I've always patterned my game after Lothar Matthaus.

Hell, I’d just like to be in it this time, even if it’s just the junior squad.

I’d probably be a right wing (right footed but too scared to play the left side and expose the ball while running forward) who exudes pure uncut sexual magnetism.

I didn’t think Delaware was Jewish, and this just confirmed it.

I've nearly always played striker or left/right wing. But whatever works if I can get a roster spot.

Well I’m glad we’ve done this. I had mis positioned people. Depending on my morning meeting let’s rock and roll at taking over black pool.

Put me in coach.. wherever you need me.
an outside midfielder in my slim youth..can still play it, just don't expect me to come back to defend.
an higuita style goalkeeper or hold up striker with a penchant for diving headers.
for some reason my o50s teach coach keeps playing me at the left back though.
no where in the middle (unless in the opposition's box)

FYI haven’t forgot but waiting for update on rosters that is coming after window closes. Just want to stay on right foot. Or left. Maybe inverted.
