Now I’m convinced Elon is intentionally trying to tank Twitter. Nobody is going to call it xeeting, and removing everything that made it look like Twitter is stripping away the lingering loyalty to using the platform.

Naah, I’m still defaulting to incompetence. He’s tanking the value of his Tesla shares by doing this, which is the primary source of his wealth.

Just going to throw out there that I don’t miss X/Twitter as much as I thought I would. It’s only really annoying when there’s a news story with a tweet I want to see.

Once I moved it out of my main folder with social apps I haven't looked at it on my phone very often. Haven't felt like I'm missing much

It appears that you can no longer embed tweets using the copy and paste link function, at least not using iOS. Is that something that might get resolved with an update, or is it just another part of the slow death?

I would love this. When Swamping on my phone (Pixel 7 running Android 13, I frequently have the whole phone shut down/restart if I'm on a thread that has a lot of Twitter embeds.

I haven't seen that, but it's been freezing/locking up a lot recently. I especially notice it on posts that come up with the "there is a newer version of this post" or whatever it is. Though I'm not sure if it's X or my slowly hitting the wall, almost 3 year old iPhone.
