At what point do we start discussing the Broncos/Seahawks trade as one of the worst in NFL history?

Pretty sure the Seahawks are ok with it...

Well I clearly meant from the Broncos perspective.

Minnesota trading for Herschel Walker probably still tops but the Broncos making a run.

The Walker trade was more about what Jimmy Johnson did with those draft picks which is just ridiculous. Walker was at least a serviceable player and not a salary cap burden at the team's most important position.

Bleacher Report did one 2 days ago on the last 10 years.

But yea. It's getting to be into "all time" territory at this point.

A top post on r/NFL says "The Broncos have traded 3 first round picks, 3 second round picks, a third and a fourth round pick. And will pay Sean Payton and Russell Wilson a combined 335 million dollars, all to start the season 1-5 with the third worst point differential in the NFL."

That all feels sub-optimal.

I'm with Romero on this. Walker was at least good with the Vikings, even if he wasn't the final piece to get them over the 49ers. Wilson has been objectively hot garbage since he's been in Broncos Country.

It's one thing spending a lot of assets to get only marginally better; it's a whole 'nother thing spending assets to get worse.

The amount of picks the Vikes gave up for Walker (who was average at best) was staggering but if you count the contract given to Wilson as part of this, I do think you can make a very good argument for this one being about as bad.

Yeah, that’s the word I was looking for. Sub-optimal.

Buddy flying out of DTW today said flight to Tampa looked to be like 100 percent Lions fans. Out of curiosity I looked at resale market and tickets Sunday going for triple any other Bucs game this season.

When you factor in the former Michiganders in FL already going to be an absolutely comical number of Lions fans. Hope Bucs are working on silent counts.

It's also return of the creamsicle, for the first time in ~20 years. Really considering grabbing some seats with my dad. Weather is going to be Tampa fall gorgeous too on Sunday.

Up 12, take over with 1:47 on the clock and three time outs while facing a strong run D/weak pass D. Ravens operate as if their two-minute offense is completely designed to set up a Tucker field goal try of at least 57 yards.

And in less than half a quarter, there has been a full quarter graphic showing the number of lost leads by the Ravens in the last couple years and the lead is down to five.

Fortunately, these two things are coincidental.

That fair catch fumble was a top-10 bad play of all-time.

Tyreek Hill did his usual thing and scored a TD, but his celebration was to run to this guy recording on his phone, take it from him, and then hit a backflip and selfie.

It was penalized, but then Red Zone showed what was recorded. They credited the @NFLUK Twitter account.

So like...did an NFL employee help him with a prop-based celebration? And if so, will that affect whatever fine Hill will face?

So the theme for Fox’s commercials for their number one NFL broadcast team seems to be “Kevin Burkhardt is a stuffy prick who seems to not like his coworkers (and they may not like him)”.

And let me give credit to the Jets defense. That’s a championship-caliber squad. Even marginal QB play manes them dangerous.

If members of the Jets defense put bars of soap in their socks and beat Zach Wilson with them like in Full Metal Jacket… I wouldn’t condone it, but I could understand.

If that’s the world you’re living in, then I think it’s population: 1.

Worst case, Hendon Hooker leads them to only 1 or 2 Super Bowls.

I hate myself even more because before I realized it was serious, my initial thought was "Well, hopefully James Cook will get a few more touches now."

Because he ran for a loss on the majority of his runs all game, including the last play of the first half from the 1 yard line? You get stuffed running from the 1 to end both half’s, you get killed for it.

At the end of the season might be a different deal but they’re the best team right now.
