Unfortunately.
I met her once when I was in college. One of my journalism professors, Dr. Evarts, went to Washington DC every summer to work for Scripps Howard, and she and Helen Thomas became good friends. Helen would come to OU on occasion as Dr. Evarts' guest, and I got to sit down and talk with her for about 10 minutes or so. She was very nice, and I appreciated her taking the time to talk. Her autobiography "Front Row at the White House" is an excellent read.
