I'll be gone most of the day, so getting these out early again this week. I also have Friday off so no guarantees about the reveal - it might even be next Monday - but the deadline remains the same. Emails will go out later today.

SEASON-LONG REMINDERS

-Each week consists of 10 questions (5 sports, 5 not). The Swamper Bowl will have 20 questions.
-I'll post questions here and email them to the group. Make sure you DO NOT REPLY ALL if answering by email
-No Googling, No Doubt
-Answer every week, even when your NFL team has a bye

SCORING

-Correct answers get a score equal to the number of people who said it
-Wrong answers get the value of the highest-scoring correct answer +5
-If you're the only player with a one-pointer, you are credited with a score of -1
-Low score wins
-Weekly ties will be broken by best score in Q10, Q9, etc.
-Standings, tiebreakers and playoff matchups all determined exactly as they would be in the real NFL

To play the odds, you have to know some names. I had almost nothing. There was one guy I recall getting a fuckton of penalties who played for one of those teams so I said him. That's all I had.

Exactly. I can think of exactly one name. No idea if he's in the pics or what teams he played for. I can only remember one other goon with a nasty reputation back in the day, but for the life of me, I can't remember his name.

Kinda depends on when you watched. I started watching hockey in 1992 when the Bolts were born, and definitely had ebbs and flows in the attention I gave the sport over the last 30 years. Pretty sure I know 4 of them for sure and have good guesses on three others.

At least in the 80s and 90s, the enforcers or goons were well known and had their own celebrity cache. Not sure if fighting has the same role in the game as it used to, but in that era, everyone who followed the game knew the names and faces of the goons. Announcers would talk about them pretty frequently during games. There was usually a Tale of the Tape before a game with two big name goons in anticipation of an eventual fight.

Sent and I watched the Habs a lot when the CBC was one of 3 channels we got, so I feel pretty good about it as well.
