NFL 2023 Week 10

Post by L-Jam3 »

Taking the Steelers this week in Survivor is way too risky and I should just go with Cincy, right? (Dallas isn't available to me)

Taking the Steelers against anybody is way too risky.

That's a tough one. Steelers -3 is my second best bet this week per my numbers but I wouldn't feel confident taking it. Cincy is a good bet IF they are really good again, if not then Houston is a good enough to win that one.

Horsepower thru Week 9:

Obviously Cincinnati is being hurt by their terrible start. Green Bay however is atrocious. Steelers and Packers may combine for ten total first half yards.

What about Seattle? I don’t see them losing at home to the Commies after that stinker against Baltimore.

I took them a few weeks ago against the Cardinals.

double check injuries - Cincinnati didn't have Higgins and Chase at practice yesterday. Chase with whole body/back pain following his leap and fall onto his back Sunday night and Higgins injured his hamstring in practice yesterday.

And this is from just a few minutes ago...(again, doesn't mean they won't play on Sunday but if it impacts your decision keep an eye on it)

My best guess from here is Chase will give it a go on Sunday but Tee is out.

They can't ALL score big. I'm up against Dak, I'm hoping they run the ball a ton as the Giants won't put up any points.

Higgins is out but Chase is a go. Since I have Chase in my most important league I’m feeling confident enough.

The Packers are getting carved up by the (checks notes) Steelers offense?

I’m enjoying the demise of the Packers a lot more than I thought I would.

I would’ve been unique had I gone with the Steelers. And possibly too clever by half.

Liking Josh Dobbs. Makes you wonder if some of these seasoned journeymen arent as good a gamble as a 2nd third rounder

Maybe. Watch the game. On time. Good decisions. Accurate. Escapes. Improvises. And steps in with no practice snaps. Not much more to ask from a backup. Someone should pay the man

He also leads the league this season in fumbles. Glad for him he’s having a good half but we’ll see how he does against a real defense.

Dude hung in. Spun. Ran outside. Kept eyes upfield and beat somebody to the pylon. In control during the drive and hit guys consistently including tight windows. Could care less about Tennessee or the Vikings but dude can play. Sooner sign him than draft a crying Caleb and get a DT (or Bowers)

Big fan of the Passtronaut motif. Wish the Jets had gotten him so that he and Rodgers could talk about outer space.

Whatever he does the rest of this year, what Dobbs did last week guarantees that he’ll have the backup job for Super Bowl contenders for as long as he wants.

And who were we rooting for today? Cleveland result is ok if our team wins next week but maybe the bengals should have won.

I feel like there's never a time I root for the Ravens other than when they were playing the good Patriots in the playoffs, but I was bonding with a Browns fan at the bar, so this was particularly awesome.
