Decided not to take a risk on the game show question and it turns out I should have. We gotta stick to the gameplan though.

Apropos of nothing, I just passed my two-year streak on Duolingo for French this past weekend. I started a little before Thanksgiving of 2021 for our delayed honeymoon to Paris over Valentine's Day '22, and I've kept up with it since. I do about 45 minutes a day, 15 in the morning and about a half hour after dinner. I took it for four years in high school so there was still the basics somewhere in the large filing room of my memory. I'm a few months from completing the entire course and afterwards I'm planning on taking the CFER test to see my rating.

Did the Toms draft include only living or imaginary Toms? In other words, were dead Toms allowed?

Not me. I made a list of every 5+ letter word then by process of elimination got a sample of 17 that I figured could be inside the top 12. From there it was pretty easy.

I was kidding. I li-ter-a-lly picked the more popular five-letter word of the title-made-up-of-two-five-letter-words song I was listening to at that moment.

(That will very likely be hint enough for Chedda to know which one it was (without googling, just like swampcrash!).)

I scanned every Hemingway novel and wrote a quick macro to list every five-letter word ranked by number of appearances.

I just picked a word I think is common and has enough letters. But that was for the NHL question.

So with 6.03 to play the 1st Quarter I have seen 3 Washington receptions in a row where the WR has been thrown to the floor by a Dallas DB grabbing the frame of the WR's helmet, without holding the facemask. So in effect twisting the player's neck around and nothing has been called/flag thrown etc,... Should those types of tackles be called?

Elway never missed like this.

(and we’re eating so only 1/3 watching but I saw one of those tackles)

FFS, fucking huge headed, West coast whinny Stanford moaning twat, who didn't want to play for the Colts and got picked by another set of horses arses. Spent the 1980's carrying a bunch of average nobodies on his back to a few Super Bowls only to stink the place up in the big game and make the AFC look shite. Cunt couldn't catch a cold, the cunt..

Good morning and welcome to the Worst Monday of the Year. I think I just need Citgo and LJam. Quite possibly a record number of wrong answers this week, but we still have plenty of close games on the board. Tune in for all the fun at about 12:30 et

Also Week 13 questions will be posted later in the afternoon.

That makes me feel better. Never been clueless on so many questions in one week. Granted, the Tom questions is completely random guessing, and the 5-letter word is educated guessing, but fuck college football.

One of those rare questions where you can submit a piss-take answer and it still might hit.
