I told Mahr I'd come back to the league if you guys ditched CBS but it sounds like you all would rather have a broken old system than another broken old man who steals your players.

Ryan Pepiot and Rasumussen. And keep an eye on Edwin Uceta for sleeper saves, but I wouldn't draft him

I'm back in a league this year and my odds of ending up with McClanahan dropped from 100% to like 97% when we switched from auction to draft.

We are old men now and set in our ways, Oiler. But Martin still brings fantastic artisinal cheeses - you should come back anyway.

Round 2 then, to be safe...

(joking, of course)

There is absolutely still a live auction, that is what Martin brings the cheeses to. Still in South Orange, but now in a swanky condo's gathering space rather than the large house that SteveH used to reside in.

I will bump this thread when we gather in four weeks and I can tell you the specific building - it’s like maybe four blocks from the main part of south orange business area/train station area

So apparently the Nats and O's resolved the TV agreement. Starting next year the Nats get their rights back. Good for the Nats but makes no sense for the Orioles..unless they see the local tv rights decreasing in value versus the new media agreements.

Seems like this was the first step to freeing the teams’ ability to go direct to consumer streaming.

WaPo seems to think Nats will end up on Monumental (Ted's station that shows Caps, Wiz, morning sports talk, and who knows).

Maybe they have more of a deadline plan, but it really feels like they’re fucking up a window by not covering the loss of Burnes, let alone improving on last year's rotation to take a run.

I can't believe how much my baseball knowledge has fallen off. I don't know 3 of the top 15 pitchers in my league's projected rankings.

Watching the opener I was thinking that "wait, who's that guy on the mound?" season starts earlier every year.

The good news:

Mariners launch ROOT Sports Stream app for watching games
On Friday the Mariners — in conjunction with ROOT Sports, their regional sports network — announced they are launching the ROOT Sports Stream app. It immediately offers a direct-to-customer streaming package for fans in the Mariners’ TV footprint to watch their games, regardless of location, and without blackout restrictions or a cable subscription.

That footprint includes Washington, Oregon, Montana, Alaska and portions of Idaho.
The bad news:
Fans can sign-up at Mariners.com/stream, and additional information is available there. The Stream app is available for $19.99 per month with no long-term commitment.
$20 a month is pretty steep to watch the offense struggle and strike out with 2 men on.

As far as I know, signups started today with a week to complete. I was getting antsy about it, but saw an ad for it online ether yesterday or the day before.

Magenta MAX. Not working. But I'm sure my plan is technically Fuchsia MINOR now or something stupid.

Rodon is just lefty Javy Vazquez for me. Will look like a legit #1/#2 80% of the time and I'm always shocked when he falls apart.
