Because that's how it works.
It's the sixth version of The Swamp. What could possibly go wrong?

ETA - So the leaders of all parties were called together for an emergency meeting.
One of the many, many, many crazy things about it is that the UK wasn't in a crisis in any real sense of the word.
My fear with AOC is that she is going to go too far. write something stupid on Twitter, and the Dems do her like Franken. OTOH, AOC would probably refuse to resign, an keep on doing her thing.Johnnie wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 8:14 am Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez receives so many death threats her staff performs visitor risk assessments
If something happens to AOC, I'd probably fucking cry.

While I loved Franken, I don't question the decision to force him out. The point is the GOP don't give a fuck what any member of their Party does or says, but the Dems do. I'd much rather be with the Party with standards, morals and a conscience, but it does suck that the Dems will attack each other, while the GOP stand by a proud pussy-grabber, dozens of openly racist and misogynistic assholes and 100s of openly Islamophobic assholes and thousands of homophobes. AOC is stirring the pot and trolling hard, I fear she is going to cross the line and the old guard Dems will turn on her. I think some of the Dem elites don't like her trying to shake shit up, and are looking for an excuse to silence her. Fuck, Omar said we shouldn't blindly put out a pro-Israel stance on every issue, and she was killed for it by both parties.brian wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 11:34 am1) I think she's way too smart for that. The Sybian wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 11:27 amMy fear with AOC is that she is going to go too far. write something stupid on Twitter, and the Dems do her like Franken. 2) In a world where there are openly white nationalist members of Congress in the GOP what in the world could she say that would cause anyone to turn on her like that.
(For the record, Dems turned on Franken deservedly for eight claims of sexual harassment. I'm tired of this revisionist history where Franken somehow got screwed. He had to go.)

May never had a chance. Pure hubris on her part, and not a drop of sympathy for this woman.Baloney wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 2:33 pmAnother Tory PM done for by Europe, I make it 3 now, Thatcher, Cameron & May.Pruitt wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 1:52 pm Theresa May: "Pass My Deal and I'll Resign

The mystery is how this woman without qualities, with all her incapacities, infelicities and ineptitudes, ever came to hold the highest office... Her unsuitability was well known. Every encounter with others is an excruciating display of gaucheness. No small talk, no big talk, no ideas, no charm, no warmth, but famous for making everyone she meets painfully ill-at-ease. Her polite and courteous EU counterparts were dumbfounded by her inability at the essentials of diplomacy.

Fitting...
She's going to have to appear before the EU on April 10th - 48 hours before a no-deal Brexit could become a reality - to plead for more time.A Downing Street spokesman highlighted the fact that May’s margin of defeat, 58, was smaller than the 149 majority she lost by earlier this month, and the crushing 230-strong defeat in the first meaningful vote in January. “We are at least going in the right direction,” the spokesman said.
