Find this person, put a new sticker on their car and leave a note that says "hi, I had 10 stickers and didn't think it would be fair if I kept them all when you didn't have one".

It would have been hard to imagine a united Ireland even 20 years ago after the Good Friday Agreement, much less 30 or 40 years ago, but that's not entirely impossible thanks to the idiocy of the UK's right-wing nutjobs.

This is nuts.

Massachusetts Town Votes To Recall Mayor

And elects the same guy as Mayor on the same ballot.

One of the many, many, many crazy things about it is that the UK wasn't in a crisis in any real sense of the word.

One of the pieces I read recently talked about how idiotic the referendum was in that it didn't set out terms. Remainers knew what they were voting for. But the Leave side didn't. Would it be a "hard Brexit," a soft one, how would the Irish border question be answered, etc....

Imagine running a business in the UK right now.

If something happens to AOC, I'd probably fucking cry.
My fear with AOC is that she is going to go too far. write something stupid on Twitter, and the Dems do her like Franken. OTOH, AOC would probably refuse to resign, an keep on doing her thing.

1) I think she's way too smart for that.
2) In a world where there are openly white nationalist members of Congress in the GOP what in the world could she say that would cause anyone to turn on her like that.

(For the record, Dems turned on Franken deservedly for eight credible claims of sexual harassment. I'm tired of this revisionist history where Franken somehow got screwed. He had to go. If there's somehow several credible claims of sexual harassment against AOC then she needs to go too. I doubt that's gonna happen.)

Yeah, I'm not worried she's going to sexually harass a half dozen people, but I do share the worry that anyone who tweets all the time is at risk for saying something dumb.

While I loved Franken, I don't question the decision to force him out. The point is the GOP don't give a fuck what any member of their Party does or says, but the Dems do. I'd much rather be with the Party with standards, morals and a conscience, but it does suck that the Dems will attack each other, while the GOP stand by a proud pussy-grabber, dozens of openly racist and misogynistic assholes and 100s of openly Islamophobic assholes and thousands of homophobes. AOC is stirring the pot and trolling hard, I fear she is going to cross the line and the old guard Dems will turn on her. I think some of the Dem elites don't like her trying to shake shit up, and are looking for an excuse to silence her. Fuck, Omar said we shouldn't blindly put out a pro-Israel stance on every issue, and she was killed for it by both parties.

Omar also had the progressive wing of the party and a HUGE number of people race to her defense. You might be right, but I think the days of Dems giving in to the bad faith faux rage machine of the GOP is coming to an end.

May never had a chance. Pure hubris on her part, and not a drop of sympathy for this woman.

ETA: For Fans of Scathing Insults
The mystery is how this woman without qualities, with all her incapacities, infelicities and ineptitudes, ever came to hold the highest office... Her unsuitability was well known. Every encounter with others is an excruciating display of gaucheness. No small talk, no big talk, no ideas, no charm, no warmth, but famous for making everyone she meets painfully ill-at-ease. Her polite and courteous EU counterparts were dumbfounded by her inability at the essentials of diplomacy.

Three years to come up with absolutely nothing.

The UK's politics is a perfect storm of complete idiocy, naked power plays, corruption and disinformation.

This just in: May Hopes To Hold 4th Vote on Brexit Deal

Or else she'll call a general election.
A Downing Street spokesman highlighted the fact that May’s margin of defeat, 58, was smaller than the 149 majority she lost by earlier this month, and the crushing 230-strong defeat in the first meaningful vote in January. “We are at least going in the right direction,” the spokesman said.
She's going to have to appear before the EU on April 10th - 48 hours before a no-deal Brexit could become a reality - to plead for more time.
