Dude is from there, what the hell was he or his campaign thinking?
God knows. You're right that he should have known better.
For those who haven't spent much time in NC, NC barbecue is smoked, usually with hickory wood. You don't typically make it on a grill, certainly not a gas grill. And hot dog buns and a spatula? And it's very much a you're-not-from-here tell if you use "barbecue" as a verb or to describe your grill.

I'd like to see some of those assholes say that to Hank Hill's face.

Revlimid was in a trial for the treatment of CLL while my father-in-law was in and out of the hospital dying of that same disease back in 07/08. Despite a ton of letters to Celgene (it’s based locally) and to local politicians and relevant charities who sent their own letters on his behalf he never got access to the medication. He died a couple of months before my youngest was born.
I don’t think this dude was in charge of the company back then, but I showed this to my wife and she took some small satisfaction in it.

There will also be one ballot dropoff location in the numerous Texas counties that have fewer than 10,000 people -- most of which will all be voting for Donald Trump.

I can't imagine being 54 and being charged with multiple felonies along with a 22 year old, and not have those felonies include sex and/or drugs.

Had the same thought. Great news, state charges in Michigan, so no pardon.

They'll have the trial in Detroit as well. These fuckers are gonna be spending at least two or three years in Ionia.

I used to take the Amtrak between Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo/Portage. The tracks run very close to a prison in Jackson.
My kid-->adult brain just assumed everyone that gets locked up goes to the joint in Jackson.
/useless off topic post

That did used to be the supermax prison in Michigan, but now it's Ionia. Truth is they'll probably end up in one of the minimum security joints like Newberry.

I hate myself for doing the math of the potential for sentencing if guilty on all charges. It adds up to 24 years, but they'd be a lot more likely to do 2.4 years in that case.

Yeah, I think that's about right though for the crime. But the thought of him even spending only 30 months in some shithole like MCS-Newberry or Alpena fills me with absolutely glee.

He's up fairly decently on Tom Tillis. If the Senate honestly stays Republican because of his grill photo then fuck North Carolina.
So if Tillis and Lee are sick, and Collins and Murkowski have announced that they won't vote for the confirmation of that SCOTUS nominee...
Is this thing dead?

Oh wow they didn’t harshly vet the generic white dude vying for one of the 100 massively influential positions in the country. So shocking but these things happen and you shouldn’t assign blame.
