Is the 90% of Netflix free with Prime, or just available?

Right. There is a fair amount that is on there but not free for streaming. I need to really dive in and see what is truly free before I can cut the netflix cord.

Am I the only person who is still Netflix physical CD? I just can't make the jump until the newer releases are available. Has that gotten resolved?

Free. Of course, I'm probably exaggerating the percentage, but it sure seemed like a lot of the same movies.

Netflix did have better recent TV choices though. The whole reason I tried it was for Breaking Bad.

Netflix's apps and website were probably easier to use, although it drove me crazy that the movies don't include trailers.

Arresting the central Manchester pub landlord for cattle rustling was a fantastic scene

Watched "Frozen Land" with my daughter over the weekend. It's a non-Pixar, non-Dreamworks, animated eskimo story marketed to look like Disney's "Frozen", but it is not. Far from it. The story though was excellent. Highly recommend.

Lots of great Kung Fu movies on Netflix. The Ip Man movies are great. I just finished the Tai Chi Zero/Hero movies. Really just a strong selection of hong kong movies.

As for Amazon Prime, they seem to have the exclusive on Workaholics and Falling Skies. The Prime format is definitely inferior to the Netflix format.

Black Fish is a documentary worth your time. Sea World is pretty much the worst place in the country.

2nd. I am a skeptic of propaganda films, but I think this film maker was careful with their words, facts, and view.

Actually caught about an hour of that. Holy shit was that disturbing. I really hope it was an exaggerated hit piece with interviews of disgruntled former employees, but even taking that into consideration, it was still horrible. Made me feel guilty for going there as a kid. I feel bad for the animals at zoos, but dolphins and whales are so much more intelligent and presumably cognizant of their conditions.

You gotta see the end. The autopsy report on the girl who died in 2010 would make Jack the Ripper blush. Sea World fucking blamed the dead girl for having a pony tail and said it wasn't an act of aggression and somehow that passed in court. That whale (dolphin to be pedantic) killed two people and barely killed a few more and it's still performing to this day.

Watched Crystal Fairy the other day. Michael Cera plays an annoying, naive American kid (shocking) going on a road trip to do mescaline with some Chilean dudes and a hippy chick he picks up. Actually pretty entertaining.

I recently watched The House I Live In with my wife, and it was great, if a bit sobering. It's a documentary about the prison system and specifically about the effects of the War on Drugs.

For those of you who liked The Wire, David Simon is interviewed a lot in this documentary. He has a lot of interesting and informed views.

My daughter is obsessed with Full House. I highly recommend locking yourself in a room and watching the entire series in an ultimate binge.

She woke up this morning telling me she had a dream that Joey (Dave Coulier) died in front of her and Michelle (Olson twins), then Michelle sat on Joey's chest to stop him from dying. Then they took Joey to the hospital and they brought him back to life. I was really surprised by the details, since she just turned 5. She is suddenly talking about death a lot, but doesn't seem at all obsessed, more proud that she understands the concept and that when you die you get put in a box that goes in the mud.

And to tie that threadjack back into the topic, if you haven't seen 6 Feet Under, I'd highly recommend. Not sure if Netflix shows HBO series, but anything can be found for free on the internet.

Watched Trollhunter for the 2nd time. It sounds like a stupid movie but it's actually quite clever and entertaining. Give it a spin.

I went through that with my girls. They thought Joey was just about the funniest person in the world.

It is good for winning Pub Trivia Night contests though. Things like

a) What was Uncle Jessie's original job? (Exterminator)
b) What was Jessie's band? (Jessie and the Rippers)
c) How did the mom die, before the series started? (killed by a drunk driver)

came in handy one night and paid for my bar tab.

So I'm trudging through the first episode of the second season of House of Cards, thinking this is just too lightweight for me to bother.

Then the shocker.

YES!!! Sold! I am in for the season.

(Not all that big a shocker for viewers of the Brit version.)

Not a whole lot of moments in television make me double-take, sit up, and audibly exclaim "wait, what the fuck?".

Excited for what's to come.

Has anyone suggested The Trip or The Trip to Italy (basically season 2) with Steve Coogan and Rob Dryden yet? They play fictionalized versions of themselves on two separate European trips together. Really funny shit. Very simple premise but worth the watch.

This is the trailer, I think they were both tv shows first and were later released as a movie. I have no idea, i know i watched the Trip to Italy in six parts, not sure about the first.

Cool! enjoy! I think I may have liked The Trip to Italy more than the first. Their Michael Caine impressions are hilarious.

It's not showy at all. It's almost as if there's no reason that they filmed themselves. Yet, it's very good, I would watch it again, and I will watch Trip to Italy whenever I can get my hands on it for free.
