Angel Hernandez is a disgrace. How the fuck is he a MLB umpire? I could call a more consistent strike zone than that prick.

That was a tremendous baseball game (despite the two horrific throwing errors on ground balls).

and what is this seeding game mess? dominican repub didn't lose; they are the first seed. let them have three days off, and the winner tomorrow two days off. the two teams flying from tokyo have four and five days off; it ain't that long of a flight.

to sell tickets obviously!

PR -v- Japan just underway on an increasingly chilly eve at neo-Candlestick. This Kenta Maeda kid can really throw; pitches for the Hiroshima Carp. That is apropos of nothing other than I wanted to say "Hiroshima Carp". Yeah, he can throw. Problem is that the Ricans can really hit.

And another thing. How the hell did Holland get so good at baseball? Did Bert Blyleven really have that many illegitimate children?

Too much blue on the walls. Especially center field. Wind pretty gusty.

Never seen such an undisciplined Japanese team. They have swung at so many bad pitches.

Although Pagan just made the mistake of the tournament... if he did that as a Giant, Howard would have been throwing things on the field.

Naw, I'd just leave the ballpark. Instead, I'm happy he got that out his system tonight, when it doesn't count.

This tournament is officially a joke.
They are desperately trying to get 4.5 innings in in a downpour so that they can call it a Dominican Rep, win and go home.

But the pitcher can't pitch at all and this top of the 5th will never end. In fact Puerto Rico might take the lead!
If this was a real game it would have been delayed since the 3rd.

The only word that comes to mind is "Seligian".
