I have to say I love the whatever cell phone commercials that have the kids. The best is the girl that says you have to eat your raisins so they don't turn into grapes.

"Kindergarten"

"That's adorable"

A "making of" video.

The one with the two guys with the instruments was the hardest for me to wrap my head around (even though LOTR nailed that sort of effect 10+ years ago).

I thought about writing something about those hilarious FarmersOnly.com commercials but Joe Pos pretty much nailed every single one of my thoughts.

Great deconstruction, there. I posted about that commercial on a previous Swampe, and I still stop to watch that ad every time it comes on.

i thought the premise of the taco bell grilled stuffed nacho ad with the teenage boy getting chased by angry dad whose defending his daughter's honor wasn't very well thought-out until i noticed that the announcer says "what if her parents get home early?" just as the running youth takes a sizable chomp out of this steamy triangle-shaped moist meat pocket.

Just think, SC. In a few years, that angry father could be you!

Holy shit. This commercial will stick with you.

I already occasionally have thoughts like that when I'm driving (what if that car doesn't stop - what if that guy doesn't see me and pulls into my lane - etc.). Seeing that won't help.

Look, I'm totally not that guy saying she's ugly, or I've had better or whatever. It's just that the first movie I saw her in was Up in the Air, and her character really annoyed me. Also, something about her nose and/or eyes have always just struck me as, and I don't mean this to be as harsh as it's going to come out, Richard Lynch-ian. Just look at that screen cap above!

She's cute made hotter by having the best personality in the whole world.

So, she isn't the actress from Don't Trust The B… in Apartment 23. Sorry, I am ignant of all things Twilight. (But I was subjected to Pitch Perfect on an airplane, w/o the sound, which apparently was for the best.)

OMfriggenG, she does have Richard Lynch's nose! Disturbing. I think she looks amazing cute in the Cups video, but that must be some Hollywood magic, because she looks different than any other time I've seen her.

Anna Kendrick was in Twilight? It's possible because I didn't see those movies, but that doesn't sound right.

Anyway, she was awesome in 50/50. That's actually a really underrated movie altogether.

I miss Don't Trust the B. That show was fun. Not a great show by any means, but completely different than anything I'd ever seen. And Van der Beek was phenomenal playing an over-the-top self-centered caricature of himself. The girl from that show was Dreama Walker. She is almost really cute, but has such a weird look about her. Don't feel like image searching from work.

My kids can do that cup thing. I had no idea that's where it came from.

I saw her on Letterman (probably the only 5 minutes of Letterman I've seen in a decade, but I was flipping channels and she looked hot), and she said that she saw a youtube clip of some girl doing that and spent a day trying to get it down. She seemed like a really cool, funny guy's girl. I haven't seen anything she was in, but I am now a fan after seeing that interview. I saw about 10 minutes of Up in the Air and found her cute enough to do an IMDB search.

Maybe it's out of pity because they spent so much on actually trying to entertain us with the bullshit they are trying to sell? The funny thing is, they're all available on YouTube right now and were so well before the start of the weekend.

On AFN they aren't allowed to play commercials and never have been. There's actually a program AFN will play a few days later showcasing them all. I'm not going to watch it though. Fuck that though. I'm happy to avoid them all. Life in America is one big commercial interspersed with moments of real life.

It should be harder for Subway to continue to position themselves as the "healthy" fast food alternative, after they spent the Super Bowl pushing something called the "Fritos chicken enchilada melt" sandwich.
