Well, I’m probably 2x your weight so that matters.
I‘ve never really liked edibles, never felt the buzz. So I started on 10’s and I would just increase what I’d take until I felt something. At 40, I felt something. 60 or 80 would be a treat I think.

I also don’t get dizzy/loopy/giddy high. I get level, if that makes sense. It calms my brain and makes me feel ok.

This was really stupid of me, but …
Yesterday, I was looking through my travel suitcase and found a couple of individually wrapped chocolates. I thought I remembered them being the kind of chocolates they put on hotel pillows, so I popped them in my mouth. Awhile later, I realized they were edibles. It’s weird feeling high and not thinking you took/smoked anything to cause it. Took me a bit to make the connection in my head. Especially because I had a fair bit of alcohol.

I've been reading the NJ weed group on reddit a bunch and it basically shits on all the dispensaries except for Breakwater so I checked out Breakwater in Roselle Park and I now get what they were saying. I'm essentially at the point where I'd only drank light beer and just had craft beer for the first time.

I had a great experience in Maplewood, but they were incredibly limited in choices. What made the Roselle place so much better?

Granting my cart knowledge consists of three total brands, but they’re less harsh and taste more like actual weed? I don’t know, they could be better but still bad relatively, but definitely a step up.

Looks like this place is patient only... I see AYR on rt 22 in Union is now recreational as well as medical. Anyone been there? Thinking about making a trip tomorrow afternoon, either hit that place or go back to Maplewood. Looking at their selections online, I have no idea which type of cartridges or edibles to buy. I know I want sativa edibles, indica just knocks me out, even half a 10mg hybrid has me fighting to stay awake in an hour or 2.

I've been there a few times before the rebrand. Nice place, always seemed to have more overall stock than Maplewood. I remain partial to the Nano edibles because they're fast and seem to affect me in a mostly consistent way.

I bought two packs of Valhalla (1 sativa 1 hybrid). It takes about 45 minutes to kick in, and gets stronger over the next hour or two. It's a fun game to try to time when I want to get high, like the night I detailed where the kids made me go take care of the neighbors dogs with them right as the edible fully kicked in. I have little to compare it to, but it works, so I was happy. Really wish I wrote the cartridge strain I bought. It was Kind Tree brand, and I don't recognize the name on the Apothecarium website. I know it was live resin and I think it was a hybrid. I'd like to get something different to compare it.
