Truer word have rarely been spoken.

Two years ago I was on the verge of a mid-December breakdown. I will never forget how afterwards one of my best friends told me (basically) "welcome to the club" when I opened up to him soon afterwards. It's one thing to read stats that say things like one in however many people have similar issues... it's an entirely different thing to learn that people you know, respect and even love have issues as well.

First off, I had to search for this thread and I accidentally opened the first page instead of the last, and it's absolutely fascinating. Who are these people? :?

Nonetheless, the majority of random shit I complain about in the NFL thread is more than likely just me subconsciously complaining about things that fuck my fantasy team.

I know...Confessions thread was way more fun a decade ago.

I’d rather have it in my fridge than on my food, if that’s what you mean.

I got your back, man. I agree with you. (Though I also keep some Valentina for some variety.)

Big valentina fan. Ortega is fine but not wha ti would reach for most of the time. Cholula still probably #1 in my house.

Crystal here, but that's really more Latin and Cajun than Mexican.

Crystal always does the job when I am in the grocery and looking at prices. Never my preferred first choice, but for hitting up some eggs or adding to Ketchup for fries... no complaints.

I usually have around 8 open hot sauces in the fridge, need the right sauce for the right occasion. I have two new favorites:

Image

Sauce Bae Hotter Habanero. Not scorching, but hotter than most sauces and packs a ton of flavor. Seems available in most stores.

And Shaquanda's Spicier Smoke. This one is unique (Onion, white vinegar, habanero, roasted red pepper, lemon juice, sugar, salt, mustard turmeric, smoked paprika powder). The roasted peppers come through despite a good amount of heat and smoke. I've only found this at Whole Foods. And Shaquanda's website is amusing:

I'm not sure I've heard of taco sauce but I'm also pretty sure its what I've been looking for as something spicy w/ tomato for stuff like eggs where I don't always want straight hot sauce. Going to have to "check it out". This is the current workhorse in the family (Crystal aside) ...

I bought Trader Joe's Taco Sauce. It's not great, but a step up from a pouch of taco seasoning mix. It's like they added a pouch of taco seasoning to sloppy joe sauce, but watered down.

Heard this guy on the All Fantasy Everything episode where they drafted Hot Sauces, Marshall's Haute Saurce, and ordered the sampler pack for my daughter for Christmas.

Ended up ordering the same for myself...they are really good...Habanero Carrot Curry, Serrano Ginger Lemongrass, Red Chile Lime, and Smoked Habanero Barbeque.

Those look really good. I can't stand the ones that get clever with the ingredients and then just land way too sweet. Yellowbird was a big violator of that, ended up getting tossed.

Nope, along with all other "older" british humor.

I don't think a lot of their stuff a) ages all that well and b) transfers from the Brit to the American audience all that well. ETA - I mean, I'm trying to be objective, so I might be overstating this, as they are hugely popular. I would lean much more on "a" as being true, rather than "b"... They can sell out the Hollywood Bowl in 24 hours on moments notice.

A huge part of their appeal was that there simply wasn't anything remotely like it on TV at the time. SCTV was around, but not a lot of folks had access to it and/or it was on at ridiculous times of the night. And as weird as that show could get, they never really got into the almost surreal aspect that Python did.

I love them, but I can also understand someone not being around when they popped on the scene in the 70s when public TV started playing BBC shows. I didn't understand a lot of what I was watching, but the silliness was pretty easy to latch onto.
