This is why I have never been able to serious consider leasing. I just like to drive too much.
Though with the price of gas getting so extreme ...
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.
Well, we ended up buying the first one and not leasing. Got the chevy colorado. Didn't have time to finish the paperwork Saturday since they were closing but supposed to go get it today.

Decided to do some comparison insurance shooping. Progressive auto rates about half of allstate (which we have). Home slightly higher but big savings. I matched things up but it doesn't make sense to be so much cheaper. Is it a "get you inside the door" rate or is it less overhead vs. allstates agent model?

I haven’t shooped insurance for a few years now, but it was frustrating when I did, because nothing was ever apples to apples between companies. But for all my coverages combined (home, autos, umbrella), I didn’t find much difference.

I think Allstate and State Farm are legacy brands that boomers blindly think will actually have their back when they have a claim, so they charge more. One man's experience with his parents and in laws.
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.
we went from AAA to State Farm after LA's car madness. we got waaaaay more house coverage for slightly more and the same car coverage for significantly less

Our first Highlander lease just over 3 years ago only had the Toyota nav stuff and it was worse than nothing. Toyota announced about 3 months later that they'd be going back to CarPlay and we very nearly traded it in several times. Held out until the lease was up last month and are now rolling in style.

My parents paid extra on their Honda to have Garmin built in. They said it's highly flawed and gives directions that don't make sense. When they go through Google Maps on their phone, it knocks off substantial estimated time on long trips.

I'm convinced putting a carplay stereo in my car is the no. 1 reason why I don't want to buy a new car
I am having trouble parsing this. So you don't have one, but putting one in would keep you from having to buy a new car? Because cars 2017 and newer probably have this functionality already so the new car would probably have it.
I am putting a new stereo face in my old highlander for carplay just so my oldest can't complain about not having good phone connectivity. You can get name brands installed at best buy for under $300

My 2015 Ford Fusion is compatible with Apple CarPlay.

The only time I’ve really enjoyed CarPlay over just using Waze on my phone is the time my kid texted me her Wordle score while I was driving and the text to speech read it for me. That was funny.

Does waze have a good music selection?
I get the love of that aspect, but for the most part, I'm a radio guy.
I didn't think anyone under 65 still listened to radio. I bought my car 3.5 years ago, never set any stations. My daughter tried to find pop music once and my mind blanked, I couldn't think of a single stations numbers. Fuck, what are those numbers called?

I love my truck. No regrets at all. We got the wife a Chevy equinox. It was a lease turn in but had low mileage and no issues on the carfax. Slightly above our original budget but not much.
Bought both because lease prices just don’t seem to be low enough to justify. For 50 bucks I’ll just buy.
