Cabo Verde is correct. The Tubarões Azuis (Blue Sharks) are led by Nhuck. That's his name. They were ranked as high as 27th in the world two years ago. Their best international finish ever was reaching the quarterfinals in the 2103 Africa Cup of Nations. FIFA is weird.

Name the active MLB franchise with the:

a. 2nd best all time winning percentage after NYY
b. worst all time winning percentage
c. most runs, AB, and hits all time (the same team)
d. most all time home runs
e. highest all time batting average
f. lowest all time batting average
g. most runs allowed all time
h. best ERA all time
i. 2nd worst ERA all time after COL

Gold star to anyone who gets them all. (Hell, gold star to anyone who gets (i).) Silver star to whoever gets the most right by Sun. night otherwise.

a. The team with the second-best all-time winning percentage would be the New York-San Francisco Giants. This was established over a longer period of time (since 1883) than the latecomer New York Highlanders-Yankees.

eta: Dodgers have best ERA. Cause it's the weekend and it is gonna take forever waiting to not give consecutive answers, and those are the only two I am pretty sure of, the rest are guesses.

Feel free to guess at all of them at once. I'll give the answers Sunday night, unless someone hits them all first.

Okay, we're done tabulating the votes. Here are the answers:

a. The New York Baseball Giants/SF Giants, at .538
b. Padres, at .464. This one surprised me, but makes some sense. Very few really good years.
c. Cubs, at 96,257/717,116/188,452. Figured this would be the one out of Cubs/Reds/Braves with the most favorable home conditions.
d. Yankees, at 15,255, despite being late arrivals.
e. Rockies, at .275, that one was kinda easy. Next highest is .267
f. Mets, at .250
g. Phillies, at 95,790. They're also Phirst in losses.
h. Dodgers, at 3.53. Another pretty easy one.
i. Rays, at 4.42. This one actually makes a lot of sense, they spent a lot of their history as the doormat of the 2000s AL East.

Worcester is correct. I thought this was going to last hours.

It's defined strictly by city limits, not metropolitan areas.

The game I was watching only cut over when McGwire was at bat. Anything else didn't really happen.
