Was it in that collision with the ManU goalie? I just watched the highlights and that guy should've been gone from the game. Fucking idiot in a pre-season game.

For those that didn't see it, this was a game btwn Wrexham what I gather was ManU's U21 or maybe the young guys on the senior squad that aren't likely to see the field much.

Either way, the goalie was 3 or 4 yards outside of his box and he absolutely trucked Mullins, who is by far the most important player on the Wrexham team (top goal scorer.)

Mullin was enticed to drop down a league to play for Wrexham after scoring something like 30 goals the season before in a the league Wrexham were looking to get into. I don't think it's the hugest of stretches to liken him to Messi in MLS.

Wrexham are big favorites to win the league from the odds makers. Which means they could be playing Blackpool in a year (or trading leagues).

Mullin might be out for awhile, I’d guess. So, those odds may change!

First day of the season for Championship, League 1, and League 2!

In results of local interest, Wrexham gives up 5 goals in loss to Milton Keynes Dons. Blackpool wins 2-0!

From what I’ve read, the defending in front of Foster has been very poor. Maybe he’s quitting out of frustration.

He's seen that type of defeninding before and he's clearly frustrated. He did his job last season and in watching his YouTube clips... This is not at all surprising. He was very successful as a podcaster and playing behind a sieve defense is a young man's game.

San Diego Loyal to fold. Team was coached by Landon for a few years but moved off the bench this year. Leaders in club culture issues but could not get a stadium (which is going to be tough for most USL teams). Also MLS has its eyes on San Diego so no doubt that makes investment in a USL team harder.

Why is it that when guys do a tournament picture it's always the arms on shoulder semi crouch straight backs on first row with feet spread apart but when the girls do its its a semi courtsy knees together I'm gonna tear my ACL soon off center pose

And yeah Atlanta United was the death of silverbacks... Still find myself over there a fair bit though... Tournaments and rentals. Same for not sure the club in Chattanooga but red wolves seem like they killed that off. Loyalty goes poof when better soccer comes next door so can't imagine anyone would want to invest with mls looming

I think Miami is gonna struggle a bit in the next window. I'm not sure, but I know that Martinez got called up by Venezuela and we talked about Cremaschi in the other thread being in the US camp. Good thing Jordi Alba retired from playing for Spain.

My wife and I are heading to Germany/Italy/Switzerland for the last two weeks of September (15-30). I would like to go to at least one if the timing works out. I noticed the match day schedules were released for Bundesliga but it appears the specific days and times are not. Any of you guys know when they publish the actual team schedules and if secondary market is the best way to get individual game tickets?
Following up on my adventure as we are leaving for Frankfurt Friday evening. I got tickets through the team site for Mainz on Saturday. My first soccer match at any level (never even watched little kids play).
