I love this dude so much.
If you change 'reel' in the url you shared to 'p' it would embed the video directly.

Nice. Thanks!

I'm a sucker for these videos. The editing on these is amazing.

I think my favorite dude is the African harmonica player. He kills it.

(Also, I confess to only recently realizing what a great musician John Paul Jones is/was for Led Zeppelin. He's easily overlooked, but dude is talented.)

The first few seconds of this show a National Guard helicopter crashing at Snowbird Ski Resort.

Fortunately no one was hurt.

And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

For me at least, you can still watch it directly through Youtube.

They ran them in the late 70s / early 80s at the 2 min warning of the 4p games, right? Did they do it for the 1p games? I forget. I was like 10.

Not the Immaculate Reception, but “ALCOA presents… fantastic finishes.” That voice is seared into my brain. Pretty sure they did it for 1:00 games, too. I loved those segments.

This apparently only aired once because it was too scary for kids.

The Wicked Witch of the West appears on Sesame Street.

YouTube loves to recommend these reaction videos to me. And I watch them, so I guess they're right.

Anyway, this one reminded me of just how mind-blowingly awesome Stevie Ray Vaughan was. Incredible. And fun to see the reaction of someone who's never listened to him before.

Yeah, there’s one of some teenage kid (that looks like he’d be pegged as a Rush fan back in the day) listening to “Tom Sawyer” for the first time. I italicize that, cuz frankly I’m not really sure these things are all on the up and up.

I’m confident my 16 yo has never heard Tom Sawyer, but he doesnt look like a Rush fan, and I doubt he’d be impressed.

Listening to the radio last week and coming out of Let's Dance the DJ did the DJ thing where they talk a bit about the song over the end of it and mentioned that it was the first album where Bowie played no instruments. While I was chewing that over and trying to figure out if Modern Love (and its great saxophone parts which I always assumed were Bowie) was included on that album the DJ continued and dropped what in retrospect seems an obvious fact (and certainly the one most currently relevant to this thread) which is that SRV played guitar on the Let's Dance sessions, including the title track.

My thoughts were "wha???" followed by a mental rewind of the song and then "duh".

I'm a little confused about what is going on there... Did a witness comment about the attorney's children and the Judge not realize it? They sure come off as incompetent when the Judge tells them in very bold terms not to say something because she's heard it numerous times, then says it again. Sending the guy to sit in the back of the room was brutal. Who was the woman with the frizzy hair flipping off the Judge? Was she a lawyer? She looked like an escapee from a mental asylum.

Side note, the Judge is kinda hot, and when she treated the lawyer like an insubordinate 5-year-old, I was expecting her to rip off the robe to reveal a dominatrix outfit and realize this was a scene from a porno. With her makeup, she has a porn actress look to her.

I think this article breaks it down, but it seems like the defense attorneys for the Parkland shooter were consistently trying her patience the whole time and doing stupid shit. She got fed up.

Also, I swear I'm having de ja vu. I feel like I linked the very same judge in another post about something semi-recently. She's really, really pretty.

Was that an exercise in making the judge seem unfit to preside over the trial? And for the record, I understand that last in the graduating class is still called a doctor, but that judge appeared more interested in getting caught up in talking over the nonsense, and then following up her own nonsense with appropriate statements. Seems like first year law stuff, or a very bad movie.

Yeah, the judge is an idiot. That frizzy haired person was clearly flipping her off. That's contempt, which means she goes to jail until another judge agrees to arraign her? Fine, let her sit overnight in the brig. And was that the Parkland shooter sitting next to her, grinning like that? Send him back to his cell, and add another 100 years for each of the victims' testimony he'll not have to sit through.

I'm trying to decide who was more unprofessional. The attorneys for running that bush league gambit, or the judge for not seeing through it.
