That's some of the craziest shit I've ever seen. I wonder how he slows down or stops on some of those rock hills. Edges won't help!

Lots of people have probably seen this, maybe even here, but it just got posted to Twitter since it's Bob Uecker's birthday today and I started literally crying 3 seconds into Norm's impression so here you go

I saw this on Drew Magary's Funbag column. Hey, Steve - you ever go up to Park City for this?

That looks fun. Summer things at mountain resorts have gotten very attractive as vacation for my family. We went to Lake Placid a few years ago. Besides hiking on some great mountains, we did some of the olympic experience stuff. We luged. Basically got to run the bottom part of the summer practice area (a street luge setup on concrete). You can bobsled in the winter and summer. I guess in the winter they now allow skeleton luge adn in the summer have the "extreme tubing" too.

On less Olympic locations in our area they have "mountain coasters" and these hamster ball downhill things that look like fun.

That's me at the 1:30 mark.

(Yeah, right.)

I've done the alpine slides there. My son has done the zip lines there, but I wussed out after looking off the cliff.

Edit: To be precise, they aren't tubing on the ski jump, but on the landing area beneath the ski jump. Still looks like a lot of fun though.

I'd really like to go down the bobsled run, but I just can't bring myself to spend that money.

The unintentional comedy and cringe is far too strong here.

(Saw this on the Air Force subreddit. It's hilarious how similar the Air Force is to the corporate world.)

Edit:

If I had the equipment and know-how, I'd do a frame by frame parody of this and present it at a commander's call. It would be awesome.

I love the guy at the 1:10 mark, with the fake smile demonstrating friendliness. Can't help but imagine the owner is just off screen, threatening to set off the electrodes strapped to his balls.

That shit's crazy. I'm regularly amazed at just how flippy younger generations are. Flips were a big deal - in any context - when I was a kid. Now everyone seems able to do crazy double back-flips with twists on any possible vehicle.

I was outraged that anyone thought that was funny...

Until I saw her walking. What's up with that?

Look, I'm not one to make fun of disabled (I probably am, actually) but if you're stupid enough to try to take a scooter up an escalator, all bets are off.

I guess I totally take for granted the fact that my parents had a telescope that we regularly used while I was growing up. That was neat.

This video is one of the greatest things I have ever seen.

Bear in mind that I love schlock, and I love things that are over the top - and not self-consciously so.

The availability of clips like this makes me think that once weed is legal in Ontario, it may be time to start puffing again...

NBA player being unfaithful....color me shocked. What is more surprising is that the NBA player got sold out by a club. Basically will never see a celeb there again.

Here is an oddly compelling video. Swedish filmmakers took random people who have never jumped off the 10 meter (30 foot) diving platform, and filmed them psyching themselves into jumping. You can feel their terror and fear of embarrassing themselves by backing down.

I did the high board once. It was both a proud accomplishment and something that I would never do again.

I did competitive diving off the 1 and 3 spring a 5 platform most of the way through HS.

It's terrifying.

The local pool growing up had a platform, but I doubt it was 10m. It was pretty high, and I feel like it had to be more than 5m, though. Could me mistremembering. It was a rite of passage that you had to jump off of it at some point during the baseball season (we'd go to the pool after practice most days to wait to be picked up)

I try to make sure that I am exposed to as few commercials and advertisements as possible. The only area I can't seem to avoid this is YouTube mobile.

Anyhoo, this Skittles commercial played before a video I watched and it's hilarious, awesome, and risky.

If you Google Skittles commercials, they all seem to be like this. I had no idea.
