There's an add-on called the Kinect--a motion-sensing device that allows you to control the game by more or less acting like a spaz in front of your TV.

This is SFW, but I would recommend closing the door anyway. Even if you're at home.

I read they're using rats in Africa to find landmines. They're trained to sniff for TNT, and they're apparently better, cheaper, and trained faster than dogs. Plus, their light weight keeps them from detonating most mines. Cool article

Excellent. I like Rollins, but I fucking love Iggy.

That was brilliant. Thanks, Shakiraquan.

I almost called out Howard and Scottie as two that would like that story. Rollins is a great storyteller.
And Iggy Pop is awesome.

Thing is, Rollins is spot on. Sure, he's caricatured Iggy, in a complete homage, but that's Iggy. If ever there was one artist that simply can not be captured in the recording studio, it is surely Iggy Pop.
I saw him in Chicago, ages ago, and Rollins' description is seriously spot on. If you can say only one thing about Mr Pop, it's that he in no way holds back or puts in a half-assed effort for his audience. While he (thankfully) wasn't actually bleeding when I saw him perform, he left nothing out there. Left nothing on the field at all; gave it everything he had. One of the best performances I ever saw? Oh, yes, for sure.
I've seen performers put on shows where it was just "Ho, hum, another show, another payment on my newest Maserati". Iggy Pop is the exact opposite of that. I swear, it was a nothing night in Chicago and Iggy got in to it like it was the last night on Earth.
David Bowie is a rather astute gent; a unique craftsman in his presentation. And Bowie has said, on many occasions, that when it comes to the stage there is Iggy and then there is everybody else.

A better question is what the fuck is Donovan Slack doing at press conferences in the first place? Her crappy (free) newspaper has a circulation of less than 40,000.
