Bob Einstein, maybe best known as Super Dave Osborne to many folks around our age.
ETA: He's Albert Brooks' brother as well, which I literally just learned.
Which means that his brother is Albert Einstein! (Obvious at this point, but one of my favourite pieces of trivia.
Dave Einstein had an amazing career. His visits with Gilbert Gottfried on the latter's podcasts are comedy gold. The guy was a profane and amazing storyteller.

He'll always be Larry Middleman to me.
(I think the Le Batard show "killed" him a couple of weeks ago, meaning that someone said he was dead when he wasn't and had to pay a fine
Edit: He refused to come on the show anymore because people died after appearing..I knew it was something)

I wish I had my Super Dave Osborne t-shirt from elementary school. I believe it said "I think I broke my spleen." He had been shot out of a cannon.

I knew he had been around a long time, but I sure didn't know Super Dave was so well respected in comedy circles. So many top level comics tweeting about it yesterday.
Back when my GF's daughter was dating one of the Nordstrom kids, I met Blake (and his wife Molly) a few times, including one memorable Nordstrom family Christmas party (Steve Ballmer was there, rocking an epically bad Xmas sweater). Super nice guy, really down to earth. And 58 is way too young.

I missed for a second that TB was responding to stuff Carol Channing had done and thought for a second that Dolly Parton had died and was ready to start yelling at TB about her not belonging in this thread or her death being referred to so blithely.

That's her claim to fame. But, as Pruitt said, back in the day she guest starred on variety shows, sitcoms like The Love Boat, and stuff like that a lot. I always found her voice grating.
I had a friend growing up and we passed football a lot. He was a huge bengals fan. He was also left handed. So when he was qb he was boomer. I was schonert.

Might be worthy of his own thread, but Albert Finney died. Probably underrated due to not working much in the last 20 years or so, but he was great in everything he was in. Probably the best part of Miller's Crossing, which is saying something given that cast.

he was good in pretty much everything he did.
Under The Volcano is a tough movie to watch, but he was phenomenal in it.
