And it's not quite "that fast". Around three-seconds after impact you can identify an edit; time is removed.

I saw that, but unless that edit was 7 months long, no way that guy should be crawling out of the car on his own power. Unless he took his seatbelt off during the edit, it really doesn't look like he was wearing one. The last crash on Scottie's video was the worst. dude got launched through the windshield of a truck and held on to the window frame until the truck stopped. I have to wonder if Russia has more accidents, or if every car in the US had cameras, we'd see just as many videos.

I know I talked about this many Swamps ago, but the father of the family I lived with in Russia was the craziest fucking driver I have ever seen. And he pulled his shit on roads with ice as thick has a hockey rink. He never slowed for red lights or stop signs, but would just pull up onto the curb and go past all the fools who did stop. He'd blow through the intersections and swerve to avoid vehicles legally going through. Granted we were in a small city without much more traffic than suburban US streets, but still scary as fuck. Add to it that he was always drunk, and that made it even more terrifying. And Russian drunk is on a whole different planet that US drunk. I'm talking piss yourself at a nice extended family dinner, and nobody bats an eyelash drunk. Then follow it up when you get home with a dozen shots of vodka with the 16 year old American kid living in your apartment.

Throwing punches to the head, your hands are high and in a position to defend your own head. Drop one to throw a body punch, your head is wide open. In front of a guy with pretty good reflexes, and a pretty good counterpuncher.

Otoh, Mr. Joe Fraizer would've done exactly as you suggest. In fact, he did just that, on a number of occasions. He got hit in the face as a result; but Mr. Fraizer did not mind.

If he went to annapolis, I bet morse was part of the curriculum back in the day. Maybe for all officers, from the academy or otherwise.

ETA: the bad guys know about this technique. You try this while in captivity by the North Koreans or the Taliban, you're just gonna get an extra beating, and the vid will never see the light of day. OTOH, it works with local TV. Last time I was interviewed on local news, I blinked 'baba booey' in morse.
