How do you know how much exercise that kid gets?

I don't. But judging from the fact he has a double chin, fat forearms, and seems to be out of breath at the end of playing a cell phone game app in a fast food restaurant (In-n-Out), I'm guessing zero.

Your first sentence is really all that matters though. If all you're doing is guessing, how about not calling someone a fat little shit.

+1 to this. Interact with kids some more and you will find that it's much more complex than get out and exercise. He's a goddamn kid that seems to really enjoy whatever it is he's doing.

So if I see a kid that's fat I can't call him fat? Yea, no.
And I spent time around my gf's 4 nieces and nephews this past weekend. Small sample size, sure since I'm not constantly around kids. But they aren't obese children.
I guess I should have said probably, since the way I'd say that sentence in person it would imply it. Sure, I have no definitive proof of anything more than him making funny faces while playing a cell phone game, but it's not unreasonable to assume poor eating habits and a lack of running around for his age. America is fat and
diabetes is on the rise.

I think "don't make fun of 8 year olds" is a solid enough blanket rule.

Obviously, you *can*. But when you do, you're being a dick.
Don't be a dick.

I was gonna add it as a rider on my "don't assault your neighbor bill" to help passage, but it looks like I will have some dissent.

I think we are all against personally assaulting our neighbors. But, we ARE in favor of laughing at dicks who get assaulted by the neighbors over silly issues.

Quit adding pork to benefit your home state to a completely unrelated bill.

You can call him whatever you want, but it makes you look like a jackass. Do you really think 8 year old's have enough control over their living conditions to make their own life decisions? If only he would have spent his disposable income on a CrossFit membership instead of those milkshakes.

I agree, it's more of an indictment on the parents. And I'm certainly a shitty person for saying what I said.

So, where are we drawing the line with this and all the sexual assault chatter, anyway? I know one is thought and the other is action, but where does the slope get slippery?

I figure it's ok to talk amongst ourselves about a video taken of an adult during a public performance.
