Right? This on the heels of me deciding to road trip it to Atlanta for the Friday of Shaky Knees and her only worry is me being back in Fort Worth the next night in time for a friend’s birthday party. I’m a lucky dude.
Shaky Knees is a very good time. Enjoy!

Unsurprisingly I love the new track.

"You can stop and start an athlete's heart" is quite the line from a Cincinnatian.

I am! I just need one, but hopefully there is no issue where only the person who bought the ticket can pick them up at will call.

If you are able to, just let me know where to send money and I'll do it today. Thanks, man!

Have mobile tickets not hit the south yet?

Got a little worried when the presale queue claimed I was 500th in line to start but got in and got lower level tickets. Yahoo for me.

You're in, brother. $65.05. I'll PM details for payment. Denver show is general admission. Looks like it's not will call but mobile ticketing. There was a little blurb that said tickets will arrive via email at least 2 weeks before the show (but often sooner).

Got my tickets to see them in June at Marymoor Park. Hopefully it goes better than last time we tried to see them there, where it POURED rain and we bailed out 4 songs in..we stuck it out during Alvvays, but by the time the National came on, we were cold and wet and miserable.

Opening act is Soccer Mommy.

ETA: Yeah, fuck ticketbastard and their "convenience fees"...

Beths brothers!

They're so great. Future Me Hates Me is such a fantastic record. Their newer stuff isn't as catchy as FMHM, but it's still quite good.

Kinda like the new one better. Less harmonies with the dudes who have some pretty not good voices.

They're doing Homecoming in Cincinnati again this fall! Last time the lineup included the Breeders, Julien Baker, Future Islands, Moses Sumney, Alvvays, Big Thief, Father John Misty, Lord Huron, and Feist.

1. Similar vibe to Weird Goodbyes and maybe explains why the latter missed the album?
2. He's using a lot more direct nouns versus allusions.
3. Again without the raw Bryan drums.

Who's the back up singer? There's definitely a woman singing. She doesn't rate like Phoebe, Sufjan, or Taylor?

ETA - Just saw it's Mina Tindle again, otherwise known as Mrs. Bryce.

New song (released at noon) is really good on first listen. A little disappointed Bridgers wasn't more than background vocals, but the sound is right.

Phoebe as disapproving mom!

Really could use more featuring of Phoebe, but maybe they heard all of your complaints about IAETF?

I did feel like I was making a reverse complaint there. Not even like she needed a verse, just something on the level of Vernon w/ Weird Goodbyes where her voice stood out.

She was more noticeable in the video than in the song. At least I think that was her.

Eucalyptus is been about as HV as they’ve been since HV on record, I think?

They’re either insanely divorced but not for the kid or they have the most understanding-of-every-awful-feeling-ever-but-expressed-outloud relationship possible. Like it’s never hateful or even negative, it’s just a level of bleak maybe you can’t avoid if you’re a certain way and can’t not be under ~30 again?

Guess who showed up with T. Swift last night while my wife and son were in attendance?

Could be worse, could've missed an Exile duet, but STILL!

Going to spend the day tracking my CD but I did stream it once this morning and the Swift song is very pretty. That's all I got so far for the songs I hadn't heard before this AM.

The Bearsville concert that's up for free on Bandcamp right now (for like another hour) is pretty great.

They have to release this somewhere in the future. Shot in black and white, fantastic sound, small venue, great setlist. All the songs from the new album in order except they skipped Alcott, then Cap, Ohio, System, Light years, Graceless, Empire, Terrible, About, Vanderlyle.
