Haven't gone through this album in a bit and "I'll Still Destroy You" remains the best song on the album. I need to go onto a fan board or something and see if this is a consensus opinion.

Still dislike the choice to include that spoken word interlude in Walk It Back. Neither Turtleneck nor the title track ever grew on me.

Yeah, it should have either been incorporated into the lyrics or a concert only deal.

I like it too, but I agree its a better song if you cut the middle. And its on two fronts, one is just aesthetics but the other is that its not even a confirmed incident which makes them look dumb as hell if its fake.

Its going to be one song per episode and its either going to be very good or I'm going to be very mad at the hosts.

(Starting with Boxer is absolutely the right call. It wouldn't be possible to frame the early albums properly if going chronological given they were a band on the brink of failure rather than one slowly building.)

My guess is it’s going to be to preview/practice new album stuff and let me tell you this household reacted differently to that guess.

I haven't. Are you in the fanclub? Tix on sale tomorrow for the club only. Let me know if you want me to grab you a pair. Apparently we're limited to two per show, but for as many shows as we want.

Thanks but I think I’m ok. The MSG show made it out of the fanclub with plenty to spare.

And Courtney Barnett!!

Sucks that it's on a Monday night, and St. Augustine is a 3 hour drive away, but whatevs, it's summertime.

All three of my computers got in for the Portland sale which makes me think our NYC tickets could end up paying for a nice little bit of this trip if we want.

You ever been?

Saw Wilco at that venue back in May, 2015. Fantastic show. Great (small) amphitheater, though it was only 2/3 full.

No, I've never seen a show there. It's always been just a little too far away, or on a bad night. It's still both of those things, but you know, it's The National, so...

Which leads to, have you seen a show at whatever they're calling the amphitheater at the Florida State Fairgrounds now? I hate the security there so much, but I've seen some amazing shows there.

Could definitely do w/out the guest vocals. The opening line also reminds me of some other song, not sure its one of theirs, but I can't place it.

ETA: Just listened to the start a few more times and I think its either Vampire Weekend or Animal Collective or something.

EATA: I think its "Giving Up the Gun".
