The only rule is that the artist/group must be acknowledged as good-to-great and the song has to extremely suck by any standards, not just be a bad song relative to the overall catalog. (Covers do not count, although I'm not sure why.) I'll kick this off ...

There are some tunes I won't go with because it will start an argument over whether the artist is "good to great", and this can be a hurtful place sometimes. So I'll just go with Start Me Up.

At least four of these so far have been part of commercial campaigns that were ubiquitous enough that I can remember them.

I'd throw out something like
The Beach Boys - Kokomo
just to try to get into the spirit of the thread (and make a timely reference), but I think I enjoy cheesy songs too much to put much heart into it.

Whitney Houston - Exhale (Shoop Shoop). This would be the second to last track - the complete throwaway spot. I FEEL VERY STRONGLY ABOUT THIS™

Are the B-52s considered good? If they are, then Loveshack. A thousand times Loveshack.

I'm gonna say the best choices should be songs that millions of people seem to love, not deep, obscure tracks.

Let's wait for every REM song to be nominated before we figure it out. It won't be long.

Rock Lobster is far worse IMO, but it could be because a college housemate played it fucking nonstop for a while.

If what I presume to be a bands two biggest songs by a margin are both awful, the band is awful. They are not on the mixtape.

I liked REM for a few albums way back when.
But this song is an abomination: Bowie and Jagger - Dancing in the Streets -
MEA CULPA as it is a cover.
I'll substitute a much worse duet: Ebony And Ivory - Jackson and McCartney

Yeah, they only really had two big songs, right, and that was one of them?

Also, this could just be a set of all "new" Christmas songs by prominent artists from the last 40 years.
