Why didn't someone tell me they turned The Pyramid into a huge Bass Pro Shops? This looks straight out of The Onion

Probably because it's been that way for a while now?

I went to it last year. It's big and dark inside. They had a small museum set up by Ducks Unlimited about duck hunting, and they had some very high-end firearms for sale. I seem to recall one shotgun was for sale for something like $67,000. It's that expensive because someone hand-etched a hunting scene on the receiver.

My literal thoughts just now..

"Wait the Luxor closed and now it's a Bass Pro? No, wait again. That's not Las Vegas. WTF is this place?"

Then I googled.

"Memphis? Oh. Ok. This makes even less fucking sense."

Makes more sense than just about anywhere else considering Memphis is named after the city in Egypt.

I hope that no one here is from Memphis...

But I would think that living within a couple of miles of that thing would lower a person;s I.Q. considerably.

I had always assumed that the big stickers I would see on car windows saying "HE>I" were from some outdoor/skating/BMX company named "Heki".

This weekend I finally realized it meant "He (meaning God) is greater than I".

This fact surfaced during a discussion at a party I was at Monday evening and I was shocked then that this wasn't common knowledge. Sting has a very distinctive voice!

And didn't everyone watch Live Aid?

My introduction to that logo was as a tattoo. A bunch of us were at a going away luncheon and we were all stumped until we googled it. We all thought it was odd because of how much it seems like a logo for the type of company you mention.

Wonder what Jesus would have to say about people who constantly feel the need to get their Christianity in your face.

Jeremiah 9:23 This is what the LORD says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches.”

Just saw this. I did not know either, though once you hear him it makes total sense.

Also, did every liver performance at Live Aid suck as bad as that one? I like Dire Straits. I love Brothers in Arms/Money for Nothing. That sucked.

Feeling depressed and suicidal, _______ heard fellow adoptee Sarah McLachlan's song "Angel" (1997) on the radio. The song touched McDaniels so deeply that it inspired him to reassess his life and career. He credits McLachlan and her album Surfacing (on which "Angel" appeared) with saving his life.

I feel confident no one is going to get this.
