It's not the best facility, but the Palestra in Philly is a fantastic place to see college basketball. It offers an intimate feel with great views, and the building eminates the passion of Philly basketball; can't wait to get back there. In lieu of going to PNC, I nominate Camden Yards. It's hard to...

Re: Bob Ryan vs. Bill Simmons
Wha? All he has to do is look at Shaughnessy or Borges to debunk that myth. And his is the "respected" paper in Boston?Bob Ryan wrote:. . . You've got the shift in readership to the likes of Bill Simmons and all of the people on the Internet, who are a little less accountable than newspaper writers.

First, I thought it was pretty much common knowledge that slave owners bred the biggest, strongest slaves to create better workers in the following generations. As for Irvin's comments, it was clearly racist, but who cares? First, much like Jimmy the Greek, Irvin is an idiot, so how can anyone be o...

Regarding the PI call, as a defensive back you can never make contact with the receiver with your back to the ball. That was the case with the Hawkins penalty. Aikman failed to point that out, and it's unclear as to why. As long as you're not making a play on the ball, it's a penalty most every time...

We're still (Boston fans) wondering if/when Doc is going to be fired and what is wrong with Delonte West. What wrong with him? Everything. They try to make him a PG and then take the position away. He's now down to 23 minutes a night. He'll thrive elsewhere. That team is way too young to be consist...

That's funny. Is he an invalid, because then you could understand him not going to a store to buy it for 6 years.oblive wrote:Note: the Ozzy Osbourne's Greatest hits CD was finally purchased by my sister after he asked for it for six years.
You should buy him the phone and then choke him out with the cord.

I went with the Pierre contract after some agonizing. He'll do okay in Dodger Stadium, but Colletti didn't address any of their needs with this signing. As someone in the Swamp (think it's Keg) has alluded to already, they need power bats. They essentially had a Pierre type already in Kenny Lofton, ...

Wow. Pound for pound? I'm not going to argue with that. I've always been a Pacquiao supporter, his raw skill has been a pleasure to watch. Thinking back to Saturday, he looked extremely focused, like a technician. I've seen 4 of his fights, and he has trended up in each one. Howard: Despite Arum swo...
