I think rass needs the intermission more than the players do.

2 goals in the equivalent of almost four full games. I don't think goaltending is the problem. A literal brick wall would still have the series at about even.

That was a hook. The idea that you don't make that call in double OT is problematic towards the integrity of hockey.

I've ranted about this forever (as you all know). If there had been a Pittsburgh penalty called earlier in the 2nd OT then that hook would have been called to even things up.

First overtime: Kelly trip nullified by Orpik high stick.
First/Second overtime: Malkin delay of game nullified by Boston too many men.

In between all that, there was all sorts of hooking, tripping, boarding penalties not called.

NHL is the king of situational refereeing.

And I hate that!

If it's a penalty in the first period, it should be a penalty in OT.

If it's a penalty in October, it should be a penalty in June.

That hook only gets called half the time, be it first period, or OT.

I agree, refereeing will drive you mad.

I can't recall a more surprising series than the Boston sweep. Toronto people must be really shaking their heads, now.

Fucking god dammit.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Bob Cole is trending worldwide.

What an amazing overtime and he made it even more intense. He's 80 years old and the voice is still the same!

Hot damn! Listening to Pat Foley call last night's ending was the best way I can think of to cap off 15 hours in the office on a Saturday.
