The Open Championship

Post by brian »

Put $10 on Spieth so hopefully that pays off (was looking for guys who don't have to bomb the ball and have great short games and putting since driver will be taken out of many of the players' hands at Birkdale.

(Also put $10 on Mickletits and Stricker.)

I'm thinking Zach Johnson, who is +4 at the moment.

Yeah, but you never hear your father-in-law complaining about the "fescue" in his backyard though.

The ability to go straight from the finish of west coast baseball to the early tee times at the Open is a legit civilization advancement

Why is everyone so high on Jon Rahm? He melts in the big tourneys again and again.

Big bounceback from ZJ. 66, which is about 9 strokes better than the average today.

It's so brutal out there that the cut has dropped to +5. He only needed par.

Yeah, I figured that would happen, but as he was paying he probably thought he needed a birdie.

For a second talented as he is he sure gets in bad positions sometimes. I think I've said this before but he may be a Michelson type who figured out how to win earlier instead of tiger.

Was a single Haotong Li shot shown on US television during the entire tournament? I wasn't awake yet, so I wouldn't know. Related question: is Haotong Li an actual person that really exists?

I thought Hao Tong Li was a marine camp ambushed by the Viet Cong in the Central Highlands of Nam in '66.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.
