BFJ is the town wizard who runs a magic shop. He also has a golem that he has trained to attack anti-Semites.
Re: Bagels
The last bagel left was cinnamon raisin and I really wanted a bagel so I got it and it was not only bad because it was cinnamon raisin but it also had sugar on top so it super bad and also gave me diabetes and there's a very good chance I never eat another cinnamon raisin bagel for the rest of my life.
Re: Bagels
The good news is that diabetes can take decades off your life so now maybe there's less of a chance of you ever being forced into this situation again.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.
Re: Bagels
It really is the worst bagel. I'm blown away by it's mass appeal. Fucking humans.

Re: Bagels
I even stepped back and thought things over before doing it. In my (slight) defense, I didn't see it beforehand. Had I seen the fucking sugar, I would have been out.

Me too. And the butter is free at panera but a scoop of cream cheese costs two bucks. Blueberry and cinnamon sugar are also good.

Maybe it's a heritage thing, but in my mind, bagels aren't a pastry. A cinnamon-raisin bagel is closer to being a donut than a bagel.TT2.0 wrote:i eat cinnamon raisin bagels and put butter on them and i dont give a good goddamn what you people think

I just had a plain one with Pineapple cream cheese and I don't care who knows it.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Fruit in cream cheese is okay (I like the pineapple stuff), but it has to be on toast, not a bagel.mister d wrote:I'm 100% against anything sweetening up a bagel. No fruit in cream cheese.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Re: Bagels
We have Friday breakfast meetings here at work, with a different team member responsible for bringing food each week. Bagels are by far the most common (and popular) breakfast item, and as a result I've been able to sample a fair number of offerings from bagel shops in North Jersey (Union/Essex/Bergen). This place might be my personal favorite. Chewy, doughy. Everything bagels generously covered on both sides. Even the veggie cream cheese is great.

Re: Bagels
To each his own, but it must be said: bagels are unconditionally horrid.
Re: Bagels
Unpopular food opinion: while bad bagels most definitely exist, "good bagels" do not.
Re: Bagels
I eat bagels probably once or twice a week, I don't hate them. But bagel eating is mostly about the avoidance of bad bagels, let's face it.
