I get it. My point is it tastes like shit, so no matter how small or free it is, it tastes and smells horrible.Johnnie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 4:59 pm I've had free food that the military provided that was way worse than miso soup. Hmm. That's fair. I don't find it that reprehensible, but I also hate olives, melon, and cucumber.

A crostini with fresh basil or pesto, tomato, and mozzarella is one of the greatest things going.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
Re: Culinary Hot Takes
A great, less-fancy quick snack is to put spaghetti sauce and mozzarella on an english muffin or a bagel and microwave it. I call it bastard pizza.

Where do you even find a yak in Jersey?

Re: Culinary Hot Takes
I find its one of those sandwiches that aren't around enough for it to be in my regular rotation but, if I ever found a great local one, I'd probably overdo it very quickly. Simple perfection.
Re: Culinary Hot Takes
I've never had pate on one.
Even though the food is great, I would have a hard time recommending driving here just for a sandwich because the traffic is pretty awful, but if you're ever in that area go for it.

Heh, my office is in Edison, and I've seen this place written up as the best in several articles. I've google mapped it several days, and said fuck it.rass wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 8:58 am I've never had pate on one.

Heard about on an r/cooking thread a couple weeks back about "secret" things to improve food. Ordered and wow.

Did some design work for that mall a couple years back when they renovated*.
In other takes: Tzatziki is superior to both ranch and sour cream and should be substituted for either in any instance.

We used to go to Menlo Park with some regularity when the kids were little because they loved the Rainforest Cafe.
I have tzatziki burps right now, because I had some at lunch and cucumber does that to me. But worth it.

I don't get why it's cool to hate on candy corn when Butterfinger is RIGHT THERE.

Both are shit.
Had a banh mi for lunch yesterday. Nothing near the top level but both the bread and chicken were solidly above replacement for an overall fine experience.

The two worst non-fruit things to get on Halloween were candy corn and Brach's hard caramels.
Butterfinger's fine in my book.

Incorrect. Dots. Good n Plenty. Black Licorice. Candy corn is meh. Just don't mix it with peanuts like a psychopath.

Re: Culinary Hot Takes
I still don't get the hate for Candy Corn. I wouldn't necessarily pick it up at a Wawa but I would certainly take a small handful from the candy jar in the break room.
Now Circus Peanuts. That's a garbage candy. I'd pass that right by in the break room, along with the yellow plaster they call Butterfinger.
