I've never seen that. I'll correct that tomorrow.

Always meant to watch it, but never did until this weekend.sancarlos wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2016 7:00 pmMy wife and I have been catching up on Angie Tribeca. Not for nothing - but Watchmen is absolutely fantastic.
Re: Television (no longer temporary)
Pretty excited for the finale.
After how intense the previous two episodes were (farts in court aside) this last one was pretty fun. I really liked how they chose to portray
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.
Re: Television (no longer temporary)
Caught up with Silicon Valley over the last couple months just in time to watch the series finale last night. I miss it already.
I loved the The Office, but Silicon Valley was just on another level. I loved how they weren't afraid to really geek out. I don't usually rewatch a show after it's done, but Silicon Valley joins Breaking Bad as pretty much the only show I would enthusiastically watch again. Disclaimer - I'm a software guy.

I watched the penultimate episode last night. You know an actor does a great job with his character when you just want to punch him in the face every time they're on the screen. So kudos to they guy playing Jian Yang.phxgators wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 10:30 am Caught up with Silicon Valley over the last couple months just in time to watch the series finale last night. There were a few options available to you, wasn't sure where you were going with it, but Jian Yang is a good pick. I'm a couple of episodes behind.Giff wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 10:50 amI watched the penultimate episode last night. Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.
Re: Television (no longer temporary)
Gavin Belson too, yup. (I wouldn't say Russ Hannaman because that dude just makes me laugh. When he calls Guilfoyle a "spooky little fuck" a few episodes ago I laughed out loud for like 30 seconds.

Damon Lindeloff is a master of this kind of trippy episode - part of what made Lost and The Leftovers so damn good.
Re: Television (no longer temporary)
I watched the first episode of The Leftovers and for some reason didn't follow through. I don't recall having an opinion about it other than it sounds like my kind of show. After seeing it top the Rolling Stone list of top TV show of the 2010s, it's now at the top of my personal "get caught up on" list.

Re: Television (no longer temporary)
The first season is fine, but the second and third seasons are vastly better (once it exhausts all of the plot from the novel it's based on in other words). I think it's probably one of the best TV shows of all time. Period.Giff wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 12:12 pm I watched the first episode of The Leftovers and for some reason didn't follow through. Top 5 theme song, too.

Definitely an all-time Top 5 (maybe top 2 or 3) series finale also.

This. And the first season was pretty great - but man did it soar after that - three tight seasons of brilliance.brian wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 12:23 pmThe first season is fine, but the second and third seasons are vastly better (once it exhausts all of the plot from the novel it's based on in other words). Really don't think we need season-ending show spoilers in this thread. I edited the last three posts.
Totally Kafkaesque

They weren't super-spoilery but the point is taken. Anyway, it's sad we won't see the story continue, at least not any time soon.

Finally a TV for Jerloma!

Christmas Day Letterkenny is the best Letterkenny, though I do regret running through a season in a day. Fantastic season though. S7 was a 65-70 this is a 90-95.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

Re: Television (no longer temporary)
Anyone watch Schitt’s Creek? I’ve had several friends rave about it on Facebook but I’ve watched the first few episodes and I’m not seeing it. Does it get better or is it acknowledged that the first season isn’t that great or something? Maybe I just don’t get Canadian humor.

Re: Television (no longer temporary)
I love it. It’s all about the characters and the way the actors play off each other. Not much plot. If you don’t like it, it’s more of the same. I think it progressively gets better, but not different.

Appreciate the feedback. Just must be one of those shows that doesn’t do it for me.
