NFL Week 15 - King Lamar
Lamar Jackson has a great chance to rush for 1200 yards and throw for 40 TDs this year. That would be the greatest season ever, fantasy and reality, right?

Well he just hung 46 on me in my semifinal.

Didn;t see the gam, but 5 TDs on 23 passes is astounding.
(Just looked - last 5 weeks, 18 TDs on 115 passes. This offence really hasn't been seen before. Sure, there's been teams that ran like this (but not many), but combine that with a QB who is playing so perfectly within the scheme... God damn!

I think it's fair to say that this is the 2012 San Francisco offense with seven years of improvements and better players. Lot of the same base schemes and plays.Pruitt wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 12:13 am Didn;t see the gam, but 5 TDs on 23 passes is astounding.

That said, the last seven years of offensive improvements is basically comparable to 15 years of evolution in the 1980s and 1990s.

Same. I'm sure it's fine because Brees will have six TDs again, just as he did when I was on bye last week.

Saquon is gonna win a lot of people’s consolation round game this week
Re: NFL Week 15 - King Lamar
The spread was Philly -6.5. Washington was going to try a Hail Mary on the last play of the game, down by 4. Sack/fumble/defensive Td = the Eagles cover the spread.

Unreal.
Also unreal is that Winston had 300 yards passing in the first half with his best receiver on the sideline.

Not just yet though. I can barely breathe as beating Miami and Cleveland to end year 3-13 and picking behind dolphins and losing out on Burrow very much still on table.
Dear lord I want Burrow to re-start this thing. I am most assuredly not as young as I used to be.
Re: NFL Week 15 - King Lamar
LOL Browns. This team is a disaster. Wouldn’t surprise me if Kitchens is fired tomorrow.

Rams are gonna miss the playoffs. (Looks like Rams would win tiebreaker with Vikes if they’re both 10-6, but not sure Minnesota can lose to Chicago.)

Re: NFL Week 15 - King Lamar
The team was still mathematically alive for a playoff berth... (okay barely), and got destroyed by a 3 win team.
Hey - remember back in July when they were the #3 betting choice to make the Super Bowl?
Also, that Raiders game was a completely fitting end to the team's time in Oakland. As a sports fan, I should have sympathy, but let me ask you guys - would you keep lining the pockets of an owner for 3 years after he announced that the team was leaving?
Losers.

The Falcons just scored 12 points in 2 seconds.....has to be a record.
And the OVER is covered.

During the Sunday Night Pre-Game, while doing a piece on growing up in Buffalo, "Don't Stop Believing" is playing. The song begins about a girl born and raised in South Detroit. MORONS.

Re: NFL Week 15 - King Lamar
Is the Sunday night game a defensive showdown or is it two inept offenses?

Re: NFL Week 15 - King Lamar
Both.
Bills offense has had its moments this year, but they are desperate for a Tight End and a 2nd receiver.
But I don't care right now. The last time the Bills had 10 wins was the year my daughter was born.
She's in 3rd year University.
I'll be beaming all week.

Watched some of this game. Fox could not hide the fact that despite the game being played in DC, the stands looked awfully like an Eagles home game.
Re: NFL Week 15 - King Lamar
Not at all surprising. I was kicking around the idea of taking my kids down to the game, and as of mid-last week, lower bowl tickets were going for $60 or less.

Re: NFL Week 15 - King Lamar
Also I know Suggs is well loved in Baltimore, but is there really a case right now for the Ravens to sign him? Ravens have been good and disciplined about moving on from vets whose time has passed. Does he make them better? Not sure.

Re: NFL Week 15 - King Lamar
My only case would be that they don't set the edge well, Suggs does. He has been having an ok season and he would only improve the rotation up front. I don't think of him as the loudmouths like Ray and Reed and Pollard, etc., He stayed with the new coach and got along with Harbaugh. I would love to see it. He would cost 350k for a few games, well worth it IMO. I have very purple sunglasses.

it also makes sense for another playoff team lower (higher? a team with a lower number and higher claim priority) in the waiver order to put in a claim and call Suggs on his bluff simply to keep him away from the Ravens.bfj wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 9:55 amMy only case would be that they don't set the edge well, Suggs does. no idea if that'll actually happen, but it would feel like the tactically smart move
(also fear the Chiefs will put a claim in on Jenkins because of their cornerback shortage. ew)
