The one in Haiti ten years ago this month was 7.0, and we remember what that did.

Miami Herald says was 6+ miles deep which will help minimize damage. Hopefully.

Saw tonight that the Caribbean and North American plates slide past each other, which greatly reduces the risk of tsunami, as compared to fault lines where one plate drives under another.
